Launcher forgets accounts every day

It seems every day I start the game, I have to plug in all my accounts. then.. As long as the launcher isn't restarted.. the accounts stay.. but when morning comes, it's forgotten them all.. even though I have them pinned.

Same here. Especially annoying with having to type character names in too because it's a new computer because my IP changes a lot. The "Never Ask This Again" button also doesn't work.

Same here whether I click the "pushpin" on my accounts or not. Highly annoying.

Launcher logs don't go back more than a couple of days unfortunately.
I added my old accounts in prep for the Alpha clones thing.
Next time I open the launcher, they're all gone - and only my main, subbed account, remains.

Also confirm I have this problem too.

Just started in previous launcher version

Hi,

I have a tentative fix. In the last 12 hrs, the issue has not reoccurred on my end.


  • My game was installed on a separate disk (D:\Games).
  • Checking the security features I noticed the Users group did not have full access to the EvE folder.
  • I gave my user account full access to the entire Games folder (and sub-folders) and removed the "read only" flag.


Perhaps someone who still has the issue can confirm it's an access issue using Process Monitor? (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processmonitor)

Just make sure to set up a good filter, perhaps on the EvE folders, otherwise, it will generate gigs of data.




UPDATE: Issue seems to have reoccurred after a long while.

We're actively working on this issue, we've been getting bug reports with logs that shed some light on what may be going on. Please keep sending bug reports with launcher logs - the more information we have, the likelihood of fixing the issue increases.

Since yesterday my launcher forgets every account every single time. Its getting incredibly frustrating!

Anyone else with the issue seeing errors in log like this:

We're investigating this, and whether it has a bearing on the forgotten accounts issue. Did you lose network connectivity at some point? It can happen when a laptop on Wifi goes to sleep - it can take several seconds for the connection to be restored when it wakes up.

In any case, we're investigating whether a dropped connection may cause the accounts to be forgotten.

This corresponds to when launcher forgets all 5 accounts and puts up red boxes in the content areas.

Of note: the webdebug lines happen immediately, not after the 2 minute retry. The computer slept long enough that it had to reacquire its dhcp IP address lease.

I have experienced similar issue;

Computer is never ordinarily turned off - only suspend/resume.

Eve launcher >
- login 1-4 accounts (they are all pinned);
- if manual close the launcher, it will function correctly (to say, it will remember).

- if launcher is left open and the system is put to sleep, launcher will exhibit errors N hours later when woken - and will have forgotten the accounts.
- sleep must occur for an extended time frame (undefined hours e.g. overnight) - not 5 minutes

- launcher experienced these issues for around a month now, to best recollection (which in specific is poor, as the launcher has had issues regarding system entering sleep for a long time now)

Will submit a bug report next occurrance

since last dt my launcher also keeps forgetting my accounts. nothing actually changed on my end, no updates, no new programs, nothing... how and why?

please fix!

We are aware of the issue and are actively working on a fix. The more reports, logs and detailed descriptions we receive, the better we can work to provide a resolution.

It was related to my computer going into a power save/sleep/hibernate mode while having the launcher open.

I change my power save / sleep settings option so it doesn't change modes (save power/sleep etc) and no more problems.

Go back to the old power settings and issues occur every time I go to bed.
