Spacefog DX11! Why you just don't remove that pointless feature?

Yes this is a fine submarine simulation and there are gas in spce. However the density of matter in these gas clouds are like one atom per cubic meter of space!

They are stupid and pointless feature. Just like walls in space. COME ON! WALLS AND CASTLES IN SPACE!

Most of the mission site decoration should be removed and replaced.

Also remove submarine simulation with real space simulation based on real physics, but with warp added to give us the speed for traveling.

Wrong subforum!

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

Yeah, CCP you should rewrite the entire physics engine to suit the 23 day character. Roll

On a side note, real life physics... be careful what you wish for, I can think of a multitude of interesting and fun things to do with real physics; all of them involve frakking up someones day.

I came for the spaceships, I stayed for the tears.

Oh ffs. This is so terrible, I can't even think of a way to troll it.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

Some people should face the fact that computer their parents gave them
for graduation in 1997 needs replacement...soon.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

There are indeed some sites with too many clouds stacked on top of each other and blinding people, and the solution is to put up a petition (preferably while still in the site and with screenshots added) so that the Devs can reduce the number of clouds. It's something they've been doing as they get reports on it.

Getting rid of space castles would probably cause some glitchy reactions, though ,)

After all those years playing the game and watching those clouds I think that someone in CCP office must be blind and the rest of guys just dont have enough civil bravery to say that his clouds suck.

Looks like you are playing the wrong game. Go get Elite: Dangerous or Scam Citizen instead.

For starters, I replaced my '87 rig in 2004 since it died, and I have every intention of running this crate of junk till 2021!!

Wait?

Only 2021? But it's already 2016?

durrrr never mind. Ugh

Space is big. Really BIG! For that reason space is also black. Really, black.
When I think of space I think of the endless inky black that pervades the all. I don't think of clouds like cotton candy at the carnival.
It would be nice if I could turn off the space eye candy and just dwell in the eternal dark.

And OP if you must insist that we can only have a game with real physics then we can't really have a game because real physics just won't allow space dogfighting as people generally perceive it.

But if you must. There are people working towards it.

Yeah, I agree with the OP.

Sometimes space fog is just too much.

Other times it's thick as soup.

Most of the time it's somewhere in between.

Note : all pictures are original Eve Online screenshots and have not been modified in any way, shape or form.

Course in my opinion if they were removed, the spacescape of Eve would be boring.

My main issue is with repetitive patterns of strange shapes, not belonging to any natural environment in the state they are presented, and clouds that look unbelievably bright.

maybe with alpha clone / free login we'll get new players who are used to imaginary graphics in video games.

Every time they make the rest of the game prettier, these particular cloud designs i have issue with, are hurting eyes even more. Its contrast thing.

The point is that they serve no purpose in this game. You cannot hide inside those clouds and take advantage of them. Every modern computers can handle them and that is not the problem at all.

Aesthetics serve no purpose in video games. Gotcha.

They do need to look at a few sites/missions individually and make some adjustments. Blockade, which I've only ever done the BR one, creates a hideous amount of frame rate drop regardless of zoom level and camera angle. It's almost as if they forgot to apply what ever recent changes they did to clouds to that mission, but then did something to them that made that particular mission even worse than before.

So far, all other instances save for some random site I did in Caldari space last week, seem to be much better in terms of visual quality and optimization. I cannot believe I'm gonna say this since I've always voted to get rid of those infuriating gas and particle clouds since I started Eve back in 2010, but they are finally at a point where they don't cause any frame rate loss and actually are not half bad looking.

Please fix Blockade, though, CCP. I do actually happen to personally like that mission and hate the idea of declining one the few decent missions I get on account of buggy visual effects.

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
