Hi,

currently i am running EVE with the latest Linux Launcher on Mint 17.3.

I also have Steam installed.

My next idea was to test if i can play EVE on the big TV screen without mouse and keyboard just by using a Steam Controller?

Its quite simple, start Steam first to activate the Steam Controller after that launch EVE and it works.

You can play EVE very well with the Steam Controller because you have a joystick/mouse combination.

PvP can be difficult because mouse handling is a little bit to slow but you can configure the controller in game a lot with the keyboard bindings. PvE is no problem and feels quite good.

The only feature that doesn't work is the virtual keyboard which works only in Big Picture Mode which means no chat available.

Did anyone checked a SteamOS + Steam Controller + EVE combination?

I found an alternate driver for the steam controller. So no more need to launch steam.

SC Controller

Its pretty good ,full configurable and the virtual keyboard also works.

I can now chat and trade only with the controller.
