I can see how a citadel will replace an outpost, but I think a whole opportunity is being wiped out by removing POS from the game.

You could maybe take a small poss and base yourself in a system far away for a small period of time and it has that temporary feel like potacabins to it rather than the more immovable objects that are citadels (I know the can be destroyed).

Keep in mind that only 1 of the possible 5 or 6 new structure types have been implemented so far. The Citadels are some of the largest and most expensive structures. From what I've heard the upcoming Industrial Arrays and Drilling Platforms will be a lot smaller and a fair bit cheaper. The cost of a medium Industrial Array might become similar to that of a small POS right now.

Don't worry, it took 2 years to release a "just around the corner" domi overhaul, poses being phased out in 2017 will end up more like 2030 *poke*

My corp lived out of a pos for a year, hope I won't have to ever again. Mess with fuel, mess with personal items, bugged roles and access to hangars, bugged cans, bugged guns that blew up blues despite settings set up correctly, could not assemble a t3 and the list goes on and on. 10/10 won't miss them,
also the new structures look cool and you can ship spin in them (most important factor).
