Pain teaches Respect.

No amount of words are able to describe pain in a way which would allow someone to feel it ...
... which is what pain simply is all about. It's something that's experienced.Felt.

Pain is, like every sensory input, something that is being realised.

Any discussions about things which bring pain ...
... can only be properly held by those who know the pain.

Everyone else is literally an outsider.

Not knowing pain equals not understanding.
It's a rule about experiences: "You can't tell someone how salt tastes like."

Pain teaches Respect.

The knowledge that "this person can and will hurt me" ...
... influences one's behaviour to a level that allows to avoid negative consequences.

When you take pain out of the equation ...
... an issue arises.

As I have pointed out in my last threads, is pain as a natural consequence of violence, a tool used by CONCORD to force a specific behaviour onto those it claims to govern. CONCORD, still literally crowd controlling people, has the monopoly on violence and no one shall go unpunished for engaging in non-consensual combat.

And make no mistake.
The consent always comes from CONCORD, not capsuleers!

You steal from a yellow wreck and CONCORD declares you a half assed criminal who's free to shoot.
You shoot some asshat in the face and they come to punish you for not asking first!
You engage in a duel, which is a CONCORD-sanctioned activity.

As long as CONCORD has the monopoly on violence ...
... it is the ultimate authority.

They don't allow anyone else to gain authority without their supervision.

They deny us the abillity ...
... to teach respect!

Why's that an issue?

Not knowing pain breeds over-confidence and bad behaviour.
When you don't suffer consequences then you don't realise pain.
When you don't realise pain you don't understand respect.

Yes, i am aware that one can respect someone for more reasons than pain ...
... but that changes nothing about the rest of the post!

What matters is the impression and experience!
Felt pain is the final teacher of respect!

First you warn someone.
Then you smack him.

Lack of understanding pain ...
... which is the consequence of violence after behaving out of the line ...
... breeds ****** behaviour.

It breeds over confidence and, even though it feels silly to use it: respectlessness.

Someone who never has to deal with pain ...
... has a high chance of being an ******* or worse.

They demand to get what they want.
They will be dishonest as long as they get what they want.
They will manipulate for what they want.
They will ignore all logic and reason and will not stop ...
... because they lack the experience of the pain of ever being wrong.*

All that, because they are safe.
All that, because they can hide behind CONCORD's false peace.
All that, because they never properly experienced pain ...
... and because they are being shielded from it from day one!

And all that is the future of new eden ...
... if you don't stop it.

*(i guess that needs a hint. As we can observe on the forums are there a lot of people who can not deal with being wrong. What this actually means, is that they are literally blind for the idea of being wrong and their brain will abuse logic heavily to keep the viewpoint of "being correct" up)

Pain promotes fear, fear is what makes weak people aggressive and it will only promote more fear in others who will be aggressive at the end bringing about everyone into aggresive and hostile environment known today as EVE forums.

In the words of mighty character: You have to unlearn what you have learned!

P.S.: I agree with the first poster. FPBP!

P.S.S.: That narcissism is either trolling or your ego tries to convicne that your narcissism is trolling, that 10k thread is just a simpe example. Trust me, I got OCS and increased awareness and my IQ is off the roof. Last phrase sounds irritating? That is because it is familiar. Also, if you find me on that list I will give you a tip of the year. But everyone already knows it anyway...

The element's Fire , Force and Belt Buckle would like a word with you about that.

In people, no you are correct, it most certainly doesn't but in universal force's it very much does.
This is why Concord don't bother me, I do not think of them as a group but as a force of nature.

The OP isn't known for intelligence, or fashion sense.

Pain is your body's way of telling you something needs to be dealt with, now, if not sooner.

The OP's fanciful excursion into "pain is..." reminds me of something Oscar Wilde once said:

"The worst poetry is written with the best of intentions."

I hope I'm not giving away too much to the OP there.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

You could at least cite your sources instead of just blatantly plagiarizing...

Macchiaveli would agree with you - assuming one is referring to a ruler choosing a method to retain his power - however he also stated that it was significantly easier and more efficient to be *feared* than "respected"

Additionally, there are different types of "pain" - and although it can certainly be easily over-used or mis-used to cause fear instead of respect - Properly applied pain has been one of the primary tools for instilling respect in children (and others) for thousands of years. It is only very recently that parents have been discouraged from using pain as a tool to build respect...and many would argue that we've seen a corresponding reduction in respect in direct response to this change... but that is beyond the scope of the game.

This is the guy who got his thread locked yesterday ...
... then opened a rage thread about the isd ...
... then commented in my thread, because he's still raging.

And now he's my pet, following me around. :D

To quote a well known source, 'you're a piece of human garbage.'

You use these forums to blather on for attention, court the LAGLers and social posters, then explicitly look for actual female players in order to chain-mail/spam them ingame with convos designed to extort real life info. Then try to blackmail them when they tell you to **** off over what may amount to contrived RL mental health issues designed to extort a tit pic. I've already retorted to you with the classic 'SMD' which whooshed right over head, but if you continue this gibberish and sustained harassment of female players, I'll show you what pain is.

Your periodic re-emergence is starting to get seriously amusing though, and I wonder just how far back the trail of weirdness goes.

Proceed.

Sorry but your post is a bit strange, I get what you are on about but the pain you talk about, this really isn't relevant because we have drugs that mitigate any pain by way of tags for standings, turn in tags get an increase in standings go out and cause more havoc.

So this "concord" pain is nothing for most.

So...Um...
This seems like an odd choice for "the classic" response....
Given that the rest of your post seems to indicate that you are a female...
And therefore do not in fact have a D to S.....

I don't even want you to elaborate - I don't really care. I just couldn't resist pointing that out P

I have at least 70 available. Might need to be nice to them first before pimping out, but they do squeal over some, so nbd.

Classic conundrum tho, just cos I claimed it as mine, doesn't mean it's attached if you get me
There are loads of dicks here tho, plenty of them are mine
