I noticed CCP deletes max/min price history if they fall out of a specific range automatically at DT, does anyone know this range % wise?

No, but it's annoying at times ...

It's a question that has been asked many times and I have never seen an answer to it.

There used to be a mention of this in the Evelopedia under Donchian Channel, where it said that the formula that CCP used to remove what they called "outliers", i.e. your very high/low prices, was not known.

Given that they are unlikely to have re-invented the wheel when this was coded and that they only employed that economist guy, Dr. Enjo (?) many years after Eve was released, I think it's reasonable that they lifted the formula for the Donchian Channel from an economics text or something like that. Don't get your hopes up on an answer :)

There is an annoying thing that happens, with the removing prices.....it leads to the market history being completely borked for at least a week on most items :/

I may have played tricks in the past with selling to myself in large numbers at high prices and obscure locations, to wreck the market history.

I've never figured this out either. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

The normal way of removing outliers is the 3 sigma rule. Anything more than 3 standard deviations from the mean is ignored. I don't know if CCP is following this rule.
