Ship Kills/Assists not showing in my combat log?

Just joined FW today and I assisted in killing two different ships (Woot!). However, my kills are not listed in my combat log even though others were able to link the kill in chat and my name appears on there. Also, I did not receive any LP rewards.

Is this a bug or am I not doing something right?

So here is how it works...

- if you applied damage or any kind of "aggressive" module then you should be on the killmail. If you are not on the killmail...
------ then the target went into another system (for example: if you shoot/aggress a target and he jumps into another system, you will not be on the killmail).
------ a server glitch has happened. This unfortunately does happen from time to time, but you will get more kills in the future.

- the person who landed the "finishing blow" will get the killmail on their character sheet. It does not matter who did the most damage or how important you were in making the kill happen... all that matters is that last volley.

I tried looking your name up on zkillboard. Your name did not appear. This means your combat experience is VERY recent and that it will take a few days for your name on the killboards to be generated.

Thank you for the help. I really appreciate it. Yep the fights happened within the last hour. So LP rewards (and a mention on the combat log) are only rewarded if you get the final blow?

Name shows now! https://zkillboard.com/character/96228174/

LP rewards should be rewarded if the target did not jump system and get blown up in said system.
(see: they have to be blown up with you present and after applying some kind of aggression)

That said... the LP rewards for killing ships in Faction Warfare are not that big. In fact they are pretty bad.
But there is a reason for that (years ago, some people manipulated the system to generate several trillion ISK by manipulating the market and blowing up their own freighters with alt character... since then, the LP amount for FW kills has had to be pathetically low to prevent abuse).

Also...

- killmails are not allowed to be posted on any forum outside of the Crime and Punishment sub-forum. Just an FYI. Blink

- here is a better Algos fit:

[Algos, PvP Fit]
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Damage Control II
400mm Rolled Tungsten Compact Plates

5MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive
Warp Scrambler II
Stasis Webifier II

75mm Gatling Rail II, Javelin S
75mm Gatling Rail II, Javelin S
75mm Gatling Rail II, Javelin S
75mm Gatling Rail II, Javelin S
75mm Gatling Rail II, Javelin S
[empty high slot]

Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Small Trimark Armor Pump I

Hobgoblin II x3
Valkyrie II x2

NOTE: if you cannot fit Tech 2, that is okay. Fit with the best equivalent modules you can find (but not Faction or Deadspace modules... those are EXPENSIVE).
You can swap out the Railguns for Blasters if you want more close range punching power. I personally like Railguns on this ship because I want my "supplemental damage" to have more flexible ranges.

edit: also... do not mix tanking styles. You have an Armor Repairer and Transverse Rigs (hull enhancement). Choose one type of tank and stick with it.

The reason for this is simple: Trying to reinforce multiple HP bars at the same time consumes lots of ship resources and leaves you with a mediocre tank on all levels. Better to dedicate the ship to one tanking style and reinforce it so that it is really good.

In order to get LP for a kill, you have to be in fleet with the person who got the final blow - or get the final blow yourself.
