What would you do with an Alpha Clone account?

I've been thinking about the restrictions on Alpha Clone accounts, and while neither this account or my alt's could get by without being Omegas, there are some interesting things I think we'll still be able to do. In this thread, I'd like to borrow some of YOUR brain power. I've not been playing a whole lot lately, but things could start getting pretty interesting in November so I thought it might be neat to talk about Alpha Account activities, as an exercise to better envision what our future holds.

So, here are some things I'd be showing Alpha newbs:

  • Ninja Looting - The bar for entry is super low, and in my experience it's a lot of fun showing new people how to do this (as in most other games stealing isn't allowed). Players I've trained loved it, and it got them thinking like a pirate quickly.

  • Suicide Ganking - this will probably not be possible. I would bet weapons safeties will be forced on in empire for Alpha accounts.

  • Faction Warfare - Again, low bar for entry, and there are good individual awards as well as rewards that scale well for groups.

...aaand that's all I can think of. Anything else I might do in my scummy day-to-day would require a cloak and/or a scan probe launcher.

What are you guys planning on doing with the newbs? We may get quite a few, and I doubt there will ever be a better or more important time to recruit for your corp. Do you have any plans? What kind of activities do you think they will be good for? How do you think the existing player base will use Alpha accounts?

Signatures should be used responsibly...

The faction warfare angle is a big deal. FW is so much fun there is absolutely no reason any Alpha will not have a good time in Eve basically forever. It might even resurrect Amarr FW who knows.

For those who don't know faction warfare is practically defined by destroyers and frigates, cruisers rarely, anything higher is very rare.

Exploration. You can make a ton of ISK with it and it doesn't require much in terms of SP.
No, you don't need a cloak for that.

All three slots on my main account are used up, so I'll use an Alpha account to play around with character creation and take screenshots to be used as original NPCs in RP. /lame

A pretty char makes money.

Really.

I wouldn't do anything with an Alpha ...
... because i could do the same with a new Omega as well.

And i'm not doing that.

I have 6 characters on two accounts. Two are actively training, two are PI with max PI Skills and 2 sit in trade hubs.

Don't need an Alpha and if I let my sub lapse, I doubt I would log in and use an Omega as an Alpha. It's like driving a Porsche with no motor. Nice to sit in, but then what? I want all the options, all the time.

Am happy with things as they are.

They will complain en mass that subscriptions are pay to win. On the bright side it'll be like runescape in space. The consumables like ship skins and clothing will be consumed.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

That's why there is PLEX.....

I'm not so sure that having a free to play and a pay to play method is the way to go. I'd rather see a totally free to play game. CCP could earn money by charging isk for skill books. You could still have the same skill book progression as you have now, only having to pay to puchase them. They could be bundled into groups for each industry and charged accordingly.

I believe that would be fair to everyone as far as skills are concerned. The other area that CCP could possibly look into in establishing in game stores that sell services (repairs, skins, etc...). I think that would be less of a hassle then trying to do the alpha bit.

Just a thought that I had. I'm by no means an expert and I haven't worked out the financial aspect of it for CCP but I think that would attract a lot more people then the average 20 - 30k people that play at the moment.
