Mass Test on Singularity: Tuesday, 30th August @ 17:00 UTC

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, August 30th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

  • Client and server performance
  • Point in space (doomsday, etc) selection performance under low FPS conditions


How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal. More detailed instructions are available here.

Test steps:
1. Meet in FD-MLJ, at the gate to X-BV98
2. Jump to X-BV98
3. Warp to Citadel
4. Shoot the citadel
5. Fleet W: Jump to Poitot + setup gate camp.
6. Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate

What else should I know?

  • Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
  • Bring anything you like to the test (preferably something with weapons!)

theres nice trick for free skill injectors on sisi

1. buy on TQ some skill injectors and put them into some ship
2. wait for sisi to mirror
3 after mirror get on sisi do /copyships it will copy ur ships and also the one with stashed skill injectors

only hope the mirror will be done

On the mirror thing, I'd rather there wasn't one at this time although I've been waiting for one for a long time.

The reason is AT practices. We've got things set up right now, including a lot of character skills trained on SiSi that we don't have on TQ and the 2mil SP gifted won't cover that difference (they would help a lot if there isn't a mirror though). Talking from the perspective of players not participating but helping out with practices.

Just my 2 cents.

No mirror before this test certainly, but one should be in the pipes within the next couple of weeks.

Regarding AT practice - the AT now has a dedicated practice server called Thunderdome - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=489852&find=unread - all practicing should be done there. Also I am a little confused about what you mean by "trained on Sisi that we don't have on TQ" with the 2m gift referenced. Just to be absolutely clear, the 2m SP reward for the mass test is granted on Sisi, not TQ.

I think he meant that since the last mirroring, their AT practice team has skilled up things on Sisi that back on TQ they don't have injected and/or trained to their current Sisi levels. And thinking that the mirror would roll back that additional training on Sisi far enough that 2 million free SP on Sisi wouldn't be enough free SP to re-train all the things.

Do mirrors really roll back all free Sisi training, though?

Sylvia Kildare got what I meant, I know the SP is for SiSi only. I know about Thunderdome but we've been having attendance issues and we use SiSi to cover with people who haven't been granted access to TD. As long as the skills arent reset or mirrored, it's fine.

The skills will be reset when the mirror applies, to your TQ level. Following this, the last 5 mass tests will be re-granted as SP, so you will get 2m for each of those tests you attended.

My past experience is you need do nothing but wait a couple of days. It will show up (on Sisi, of course.)

Ah, cool. Good to know. I haven't tried out Sisi. Wanted to try and make it to today's test but IRL interference prevented it.

Makes sense. I gotta start trying to make some of these, but USTZ makes it tough. Flew with 5 CCP devs in Sunday's Pew4Reps fleet, at least. :)

Skill points have been applied now on Singularity for this mass test. Thanks for helping!

Regarding sticky: We want to avoid having too many sticky threads- but I'll see if I can include a link to the skillpoint thread in the main sticky thread.
