1. Since the introduction of the tier 3 highsec ganking ships have you noticed an increase in ganking for lower isk ships and cargos? 
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

I wouldn't call it my worst (around 300k-ish) but it did suck to get beat by a kiting ibis and his 1 hobgoblin. -.-"

I thought that the TD would bail me out if he tried to kite, I was clearly mistaken.

Lesson Learned: ALWAYS fit a prop mod.

Now that i think of it, it was KIND of cheating, It was supposed to be t1 only, and he used a t2 drone :O

I've been relatively careful. My biggest loss was in Aunenen when I flew into a gate camp. I was busy relocating all my assets and the route had one lowsec jump; the one that I knew was occasionally camped. And feeling foolishly inebriated and courageous I took the risk and lost. (Killmail here) It was plain stupidity and impatience that cost me that, fortunately not a lot of ISK and just the annoyance factor and disgust at me being so dumb.

Not really. You don't get insurance from Deaths related to Concord after the expansion that released the Tornado. Tornado's cost about 50mil while the Tempest has been sitting between 70-85mil. Without insurance the Tempest is less economically viable but its former price after Insurance is close to the same as the new Tornado without Insurance.

The price has remained about the same.

As for my loss. I haven't been Ganked but a general loss...

Not too much, should have paid attention to local

My 'best' fitted ship loss

And then I learnt to play EVE properly

There's a guy in my corp who's really good at highsec suicide ganks (the gank part is easy, finding a suitable target and setting up the gank is the time-consuming part)

Golems seem to make the shiniest explosions.

As for me, my blaster Megathrons cost more than any PvE boat I fly. Cross-training for a sailbo..err.. Tempest though, as part of my general Gallente->Winmatar crosstraining plan.

Nice one for seeing some humour in your loss, OP. :)

I burned out my mwd on a shiny Gila and died in a fire about a year back. Made an extra shiny pop ;)

Hm, I suppose my most expensive loss is a carrier. Being DD'ed by a titan. That was almost year and half ago.

I never really lose such an expensive ship. Hm. Or maybe that one time I spent 500m? on a frigate I can't remember, inty I can't remember, back in the days ... I got smartbombed to death by smartbombing gate campers, lol.

I usually fly frigates and cruisers. Battleclinic says I lost almost 50b worth of assets in my eve life, but did 520b worth of damages :D

last jump into target system deep into the venal region, I was on my way to pick up some faction loot dropped from belts rats and other misc crapola.

I departed in my alt, 12 jumps into my journey I noticed (yes I noticed that late into it) I did not have any fittings on the viator. I also overlooked to jump clone out. I had a mining mindlink and all +5s and +5s hardwirings, all kinds of nav/agility hardwires. You can see where this is going.

Last gate to jump and the only system I did not bounce off a planet. Only one person in local. I did not think much of it.

The pilot was a loan dictor, I landed on the edge of his bubble and I we both de-cloaked each other. IRONY! He locked and lit me up. Bubble was down, but as soon as I popped he launched another catching my pod.

Luckily by the time it was all done I was safely stored in high sec.

The loss was very very expensive.

autopilted an alt with a full set of hardwirings and +5s with the 'go through low sec setting.'

got coffee, came back a while later to a sinking feeling in my gut and a pod floating in a station.

Been ganked twice and both times they have done me a favour.

First time was in a frigate when I just started playing, I was saving for a dessy and the insurance allowed me to buy one (can't think why I didn't just sell my frig of the top of my head I was a noob what can I tell you).

The second loss was over 3 accounts 2 missioning cruisers and a dessie. Was doing a lot of mining at the time though so having my mission boats vaped allowed me to buy 3 cruisers that where better suited to mining out my insurance.

About 2Billion Isk worth in an Orca and cargo. My never used low grade slave set and an arazu dropped too. Had one low sec jump, had just scouted it with an alt.. But those slow-ass orca's take a long time to align. I landed on gate just as a Hurricane arrived.
Not knowing if he was alone or had gang mates inbound. I put ECM and ecm drones on him, and aligned back to station. But I was wedged on the gate (don't you hate it when that happens). So I was aggressed, and stuck on the gate when his battleship buddies arrived on the scene moments later.

Lesson learned.
Don't move 2 billion in cargo when having skype conversations, and make sure the scout alt you use is a blackbird or falcon.
