Howdy o7! I've just completed my first DED site (3/10 Blood Raider site in an Algos). My two salvage drones salvaged the officer at the end and I was quite impressed by the loot. If I were to just loot the officer's wreck without salvaging, do I still get the blue dead space modules?

I want to run higher level sites in a Hecate, but I don't really want to sacrifice a blaster high slot just to fit a salvager.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

yes just open the wreck and loot it.

Another tip: is to kill the officer as soon as it spawns, bookmark wreck, warp out, wait 5mins then warp back to the bookmark and the site will have despawned leaving the officer wreck :) op success

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

So what's the benefit to actually salvaging something? Is the only difference that salvaging produces rig components?

yes salvaging empire rats produces items required in the manufacture of rigs.

Wormhole space salvage is used in the production of tech 3 cruisers
