Compressed ores yields are low

Why are the expected yields about half but according to the info and fuzzwork web page shows yields higher then you actually get, I got high skills in processing ores and great standings with NPC's but I've noticed that I only get half of what it says I should expect.

to get best results you need level 5 of the ore type refining, refining efficiency 5, if an NPC station high standings and finally the 4% reprocessing implant.

Saying all that, NPC stations are at 50% refining yield at base and with all the bonuses maxed out on your character you only get to the 70% range (74% or so? Been a VERY long time since I refined in HS).

In nullsec with an upgraded minmata outpost (base 60%) with a fully dedicated refining character I can get 84.2% (on paper I should get 87ish% but I assume station tax or something similar) and same for citadels with T2 refining rigs.

Not all HighSec Stations have the same base reprocessing rate. Mouseover the ore to see the details of the refining breakdown.

This should answer all of your questions (now and later) about any reprocessing efficiencies. It's very helpful information on the mouseover but isn't easily found elsewhere.

Mine shows you the 100% values (unless you put in what you're actually losing)

You cannot get 100% out of the ores anywhere. This is mostly to give CCP the ability to have better refining, without needing to rebase everything, and cut down on efficiencies elsewhere.

Beware there are some 30% stations around. They usually belong to research corporations.

Notably nearly all of Lai Dai Corporation stations /facepalm

EDIT: Did CCP ever boost all stations to 50%? Seem to remember something like that once being mentioned.
EDIT2: I might be thinking of scrap, which is 50% everywhere.
