Multiboxing eating all my CPU

Lights Out.

Been playing Eve for years and during that time I have always used 2-5 clients at a time. I took a break from the game at the end of 2015, however, in the months prior to that I ran five toons in combat with no performance issues whatsoever. Now, however, running two clients completely trashes my computer.

Oddly, there seems to be no difference in performance when using two clients versus using five. What I mean by that is this - Running one account is fine. ~8-12% CPU usage and minimal memory usage. Running two accounts starts off fine with ~15-20% CPU usage and still minimal memory usage. However, whenever I switch between clients or attempt to (just for example) jump a gate while one client is firing my CPU usage suddenly spikes to 100%. Whenever I have five clients open, it all runs fine at first with ~36-50% CPU usage depending on what I'm doing. However, once I start swapping back and forth between clients or (again, just as an example) opening the market on one toon, all of them spike to 20-30 CPU usage pushing me all the way up to 100% and dropping my fps to single digits. This makes multiboxing in combat problematic and just generally unpleasant.

Any ideas or suggestions would be loved.

I'm having problems all of a sudden myself. I have an i5 4440 CPU @ 3.1 GHz and am seeing fps drop to about 16 when the camera angle has a pve site on screen. It also doesn't matter if it's 1,2,3, or 5 clients running at one time. This is a recent thing which started in the last couple weeks. Tweaking settings doesn't seem to help either.

If I focus camera away from a site my fps climbs to more normal numbers.

Haven't been in pvp with more than 1 other ship and haven't been able to notice if fps dropped, as I'm usually zoomed out a little.
I have a GeForce GTX 650 card and didn't know if it was my card dying, or something with the game.

same thing here, i could run up to 5 clients ( some features down ofc) pa after this recent 'new cloud rendering ' patch, i can run most 2 clients, third one will cut in half fps, 4th will simple kill other clients, while even just spining in station. Something is wrong ccp.
