In October the IGB is going to be removed from the EVE client completely. In preparation for that, CCP have been working on adding the features necessary to support the various third party applications we use day-to-day; hopefully aiding a transition towards the newer REST based API.

October is fast approaching and as it stands, CCP still haven't met this goal. Now, although almost all the data needed is available via CREST, some very critical data many third party apps use is still missing completely.

What data is missing? The ship you are currently flying in EVE, including its type and what you have named it. This is surprisingly important particularly for wormholers who use mapping software (i.e. ALL of us). Applications such as Tripwire, Siggy and Pathfinder would all benefit greatly from this endpoint for user tracking purposes.


The point of all this is to bring awareness to this issue and hopefully show CCP that the community wants to keep using their third party apps.

I know this has been posted about already but it never got much support, this is important ppl and CCP need to hear that. Most of EVE will end up using this type of feature in 3rd party apps they use every day if they are not already are, I know most of my Tripwire users do.

Very much supported, more CREST is good.

I am here to add my voice in to the "We need this addressed" group. I'd rather not take a step backwards in terms of what I have available to me and my corp/alliance should we fail to get these additional endpoints.

Its getting attention.

I hope they add it as soon as they can.

I also really want citadel assets added to the API.

Adding support for this as well, especially ship type. Tripwire (and I'm sure many other CREST applications) will be able to take advantage of this data to provide a better experience for app users.
