The logs show nothing

Title probably didn't need the '[Keepstar]'. Everyone is waiting for it.

If CCP are yet again incapable of generating a killmail which is pretty pathetic if you ask me. Then why not go for a bit of EVE nostalgia and send the involved players an EVE mail like they used to. CCPlease sort it outQuestion

So in the end, it appears the killmail was too big and didn't get generated. However, I've gone back through the logs and assembled the data in the following file. It's only got damage information, but in some ways it has slightly more data than you would get from a killmail (especially if you were using multiple ships or weapons).

but caching means it might still show the old line.

CCP Logibro, while we can certainly appreciate the effort you put into this, it does not satisfy for the majority that a killmail was produced and then "claimed to be too large" for the average person to read over. I am sure that the websites that produces KMs would probably stand a much better chance in producing one, but at this point I don't see how, thank you for trying tho.

Would a crest link not be possible from this so we can properly see who is who, ships etc? Zkill, player owned KB's etc would gladly compile the kill.

Killmails are a big part of EVE whether its for bragging rights, proof of a kill etc etc etc I could keep this going for awhile but I digress. A lot of people will be looking once again at whats the point of large engagements when no hard records are being shown for there efforts.

A for effort I guess.

I remember hauling up an old badger through the P3EN gates up to venal in 2003 or 2004. I had ALL my crap stuff in there. Noob crap not really worth it isk wise when I look back at it but there was a LOT. That eve killmail got truncated. So if I can create a killmail myself that the system cant handle because its too "big" to generate what do you think is going to happen with your keepstar killmail?Roll

It'd be a very nice thing if CCP could do something for the folks who got a hit in on the Keepstar - maybe an in-game item or skin or similar. Even an evemail.

They used to do eve mails in the old days so it really shouldn't be so hard to do that
