I'm pretty sure that reddit is the place to make official suggestions and get a response but I figured I'd try the forums first Lol

As players move across the game and move around the universe, faction standings are a big roadblock in the road to movement and trying new activities (such as faction warfare or entering opposing faction space). The one-time limitation on running Faction Data Centers is a pain for people who want to change their path. I'd like to propose that this be changed so that it's similar to the Epic Arcs where you can run it occasionally but not constantly.

A lot of new players don't realize that once they tank their standings, they only get once chance to fix it unless they want to grind. This issue was recognized for security status and tags were introduced to allow players to fix this. It didn't break the game. Why not allow Data Centers to be run more than once. I'm not saying people should be able to turn in tags constantly but even once a year would be an amazing improvement over the current system without breaking the game.

Standings used to count for a lot more than they do now. Not needing standings to install clones or anchor POSs really reduced the need to grind standings up. With citadels you no longer need to grind them up to reduce taxes and fees. Really all that matters anymore is to not have bad standings so you don't get shot. The way I see it, CCP has already broken the purpose for them. I don't know if pay to play faction standings is the right answer but I think it's much less of a problem than it used to be.

There's also bad standings in corporations in Faction Warfare. Having a large number of players that want to join corp to play with friends but can't because they'll ruin your FW status is a real pain and because they've been playing for years and happen to have done the sites 2-3 years ago, they can't do them again. You are correct though, everything else has already been broken, so why have this mechanic limit a single style of play.

COSMOS missions are for a large part one time only also. Jeebus people from the colonies and their "throw currency at everything that could be in the way" thing..

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

COSMOS missions date to the original standard MMO design of EVE where you have non repeatable quest lines, and have remained in the game because the work to remove it all is more than the work to keep updating them as art & code assets change.

The entire PvE structure of EVE needs a massive rework & update away from classic MMO dungeons (Yes, last CCP showed internal documents they even called them dungeons) into a living breathing world.

Changing tags at Data centres to tags for faction standing repair would be a good step forward though. And to avoid the oddness of 'pay and instantly be ok' make it take some time, processing at 0.1 / hour or something. So you have to plan ahead and can't just pay and then rampage some more instantly. (The time delay should also be put onto the tags for sec status system also for the same reason)

Everyone else has the rest covered so a comment on this.
This is the official forum and this IS the place we are supposed to be discussing changes / additions to the game and interacting with the devs about them. The fact that more if that occurs on the reddit pages is a sad testimony to CCP's inability or unwillingness to play by their own rules.

In other words if this is the official forums how about some more active participation CCP.
And if this is not the official forums then why waste time trying to maintain and police them why not just shut the thing down and be done with it.
