Yeah me too, most people fail to understand that AG is really a resistance movement in the main who try to educate people not to be silly and try to disrupt CODE activities.

Fact is when I thought about setting up something in hisec I never looked at CODE as worth going after, it was the war dec entities that interested me and the reason was there was nothing of value in attacking them and the mechanics were in their favour.

Don't get me wrong here, but I've seen my share of non-CODE. dudes getting kicked out of the AG channels for bringing up ideas (that made sense) to disrupt CODE. activities.
People need to be educated about the risks of highsec, and a less paranoid AG could help do that (I'd totally like to see that happening tbh)
And those who don't care about learning can be the victims of Darwinism Pirate
"Save the living, and let the dying die"

It's the only real way AG can beat CODE.

Yeah non-CODE people, .... right! I have seen a large number of CODE alts start acting super aggressive and saying stuff and that getting reported as AG ranting. I have seen a number of these CODE alts spreading misinformation on how to avoid ganking such as log off if you get bumped..., it is laughable.

You see what you want to see.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Though I am a CODE supporter with the content creation they bring, most of the people in AG and those who rail against CODE first talk about not being able to fight them. The problem is they see that the only option that you have to fight them is to go with your cheap ass ship and go blow up their cheap ass ship.

Which you are wrong.

The way you counter CODE and the ganking is through education. When a new player starts, they are basically given no education on what this game really is about. I feel that CCP really screwed the pooch when it comes to their NPE (New Player Experience). If these newer players are taught what they need to know (setting contacts, aligning while watching local, fittings, etc), then that should bring about less and less targets for CODE to find. Even I can go out and find easy newbie targets to kill with little to no effort. It isn't the newbies fault, they are just not given the education they need to survive.

I started playing this game three years ago (August 2013) and had a bit of a sense of the game since I researched it online and in youtube before committing to this game. Going through the career agents and then onto Eve University really didn't prepare me until I went into wormholes and actually joined a good corporation who showed me the ropes and it became an amazing experience.

But now the NPE sucks donkey balls. Have you actually tried it? Just make up a new toon and just run through it.

It sucks. Badly. There is no direction whatsoever. At least Aura told you where to go and what to do. I had my friend (41 year old man) try and see if he could figure it out and he got frustrated and told me the game sucks.

So, these new players come through confused...and then get caught up in these horrible player run corps who just tell them to get a mining ship and go pewpew some rocks. No education on setting CODE to red, watching local, staying aligned, putting some sort of tank on their ship, etc etc.

During my solo highsec wardec days where I targeted these bad corporations and exploded newbies, I would follow it up with a mail to them explaining on what happened to them and if they were made aware that they were at war. I was surprised at what they told me.

So I am actually at a crossroads in my Eve career. I could either go and wage destruction somewhere...or I could form a corporation and try to help teach these new players how to:

1) Properly fit a Venture, Mining Barge or Exhumer.
2) How to spot gankers and ganker alts.
3) What local is for...
4) How to survive wardecs...
5) Set up contacts for gankers and corporation/alliances
6) Teach them what Eve Online really is and how to survive this PvP game
7) Other stuff...

Been thinking on it for a while. Not sure where I will be heading soon. Big smile

TL;DR: You cannot fight CODE head on, you will lose. You must hurt them where it would affect them the most. Remove naive targets from the field and they have no one to make money off of, pilots will get bored and CODE *could* fall apart. But realize they are masters of adaptation.

Yes and no.

Tutorials discourage creativity. They tell you exactly what to do and how to do it. The new one (opportunities list) tries to get away from all that by suggesting a list of stuff to try with a few short paragraphs next to each one, and not in a particular order. Where it falls short is in explaining how few rules there are, and that you can be attacked by players just about anywhere, including mining in a belt in hisec. And it doesn't touch dscan yet.

Simply telling them how to do something doesn't really prepare them for the uniquely EVE experience of: "Surprise! Your ship is about to get exploded! Figure out a way out of it or die trying! You didn't fly something you couldn't afford to lose, did you?"

Why would we want to fight CODE, their antics and the utter uselessness of the people trying to fight them are hilarious.

Its almost as amusing as the people who think I'm a CODE supporter just because I think most antigankers are complete idiots, or the guys who think that because I said 'hey I saw some of your POCOs died, come and use ours instead' and warned we would defend them if people tried to kill them that I'm somehow demanding people come and fight us.

Do as you wish, we'll carry on giving zero fucks about your opinions just like always.

I just think you are a useless troll, on one hand you talk about CODE not affecting you, which is evident you are in lowsec, the next thing you decide that AG should man up and blap your POCO's in lowsec. You are obviously butthurt over something, but I can't quite work out why you would think AG would 'man up' and have interest in your POCO's, it just seems utterly inane to me and I have you marked as a shrill for CODE.

I certainly give zero fecks about you and your opinions, yet another loud mouth HTFU poster shrilling for CODE. Roll

You call me a troll and yet you're the one putting words in my mouth and trying to criticise me for something I didn't actually say, the irony is strong with this one.

I'll spell this out since you seem to be having trouble understanding, announcing we will defend ourselves if our stuff is attacked is not the same thing as demanding people come and fight us and thinking one side of a conflict is a bunch of useless, disorganised, overly paranoid fools does not mean I automatically support the other side.

You suggested that AG develop some balls and come to lowsec to blap your POCO's it was one of the biggest loads of shite I had seen on the forums and your point was hot air thrown in the direction of AG players because you are some leet lowsec noboddy shrilling for CODE. That is the conclusion I drew from it. You have no idea about operating in hisec and it shows.

Then your conclusion is as idiotic as you are, but I'm really not surprised by that now.

I was in your channels before I was even into CODE. (because believe it or not I hated CODE. before understanding the whys)
I saw more misinformation about simple stuff on your end in a month than in the CODE. channels in almost 2 years lol

also, the toxic atmosphere would have made me quit from those channels (but got kicked before so whatevs lol)

You're right, OP. There's nothing you can do. The game mechanics prevent you from fighting back in any way. You might as well just join us and get in on some of this quality tear-harvesting that's been inundating the forums lately.

Nah, I'll just wait until CCP changes the mechanics so that the EVE community can actually retaliate against you and your boyfriends. I'm only interested in CODE tears at the moment. If CCP gives the power to the player to retaliate, the coalition will crush you guys.

That's the beauty of it. I've come to realize I kind of like what they do and how they do it. After a fashion.

Is it their fault nobody on grid has the nuts to help out? Is it their fault AFK multiboxers don't warp off? Outside highsec their victims would be even worse off.

A few tweaks to the rules or the ships may look good on paper but in the end, the hunter goes where the prey is. And their particular kind of prey doesn't exist anywhere else. This subtle interplay is almost a work of art.

Will still shoot them at every opportunity of course - they wouldn't have it any other way. Big smile

At which point are you going to divulge your masterplan, or are you just going to sit there and sperg some more?

Actually you will find I said I was done talking to you...

But perhaps since you biomassed your first character I feel it isn't quite the same? In either case up until this post I've been talking to the other people in this thread - not you P

Also even the Anti-Gankers agree with me that you are a CODE. alt at this point... Would be pretty sad if you weren't honestly, because nobody believes you could actually legitimately be that stupid...And you would have to live with the knowledge that you are - without even being able to convince anybody. Homophobic rhetoric? what are you talking about.

I'm admitting that I dont care to chase you guys around in your throw away gank ships. Thats all you guys lose.

I'm not asking for a nerf to ganking, what i mention does not change ganking at all. In fact, if i had it my way CCP would overturn all the nerfs to ganking, and implement what I suggest, so we could crush CODE.

Im not sure on what else you need -

You have T1/T2 Logistics ships available to you to use.

You have ECM ships available for you to use.

You have bumping ships available for you to use.

You have ninja looting ships available for you to use.

You have Damage ships available for you to use.

You have instalocking interceptors available for you to use for when we jump gates.
