I'm asking because I may have recently been scammed by a poster of a service in the eve forums, and I'm just wondering if that is acceptable use or not before I open a ticket.

Character Bazar is a huge no no. Anywhere else is completely legit

Where does it say Toon Bazaar "no no", genuinely interested.

Reason: Hypothetically, If I wanted to play the meta-game and block Archetypes ( self proclaimed) funding source from the Galt Express. Would it be ethically wrong to run interference to their operation or out-right against the EULA?

Just a hypothetical question.Straight

Point 19. All scams involving character transfers are strictly prohibited, and are a bannable offence.

They need to define scam. I assume in Eve a scam is defined as a profit making scheme.

If you are disrupting or running interference, for no personal profit from a particular trade, does that fall under scam? Straight

^ Try it. No really, please do.

I am in no way suggesting this because we'd finally be rid of you forever as a result.

It was a standings boost service, I paid and haven't heard from them since, I intentionally started with a low boost amount but any isk lost is of course a nuisance and I was curious on forums policy on the matter.

The policy is use at your own risk. Much like local chat. Make sure you use a service that has solid recommendations next time and always use a third party for ISK transactions. My personal suggestions in order of expense/credibility 'Mobadder Thworst' (he may have actually gone inactive), Myself 'Noragen Neirfallas' and finally he is a bit of a troll but very professional Mr 'Cyclo Hexanol'

Good luck and I hope this helped

Sounds like that sucks. I would only get services from those I personally have some trust with.

Sounds like you got scammed. Learn from your mistake, young padawan.

What does this have to do with the OP asking where scamming was legal? (Character bazaar being the only place)

Topic title - Is scamming via forums considered valid.

Post number 3 - mentions Character bazaar as no.

My post questions the definition of a scam.

I also give a reason for providing a good definition of a scam within Eve.

Any thing I have broken down for you in simplistic terms unrelated to the topic title? Roll

Refer to the thing I quoted you on. 100% irrelevant to the original post.

Now you have changed your original question. Didn't read the subject title did we? Called the topic. I would suggest the Op's preamble was open to my reply also, albeit vague.

you know what they are like,
they keep the line as blurry and broad as possible to stop us from gaming it right to the edge.
dont **** about with the bazar, no amount of semantic fiddling will make that unclear
