Bullshit.

You can fight back you just cant or wont use the methods required to do it. Youve always had them available to you but you're such a bunch of paranoid disorganised idiots that you constantly fail and never seem to realise why.

And since you trumpeted that POCO kill so much I have a counter proposal.

Hey CODE guys if you want to make some catalyst money somewhere I guarantee those people will never try to stop you why not look up our extensive lowsec POCO network, we just added 50 more offices to the 1000+ we already own so theres bound to be one near you somewhere. Ask in Shadow Cartels public channel for contact details.

And believe me AGs, you are welcome to try and take them from us.

Why don't you go and shoot CODE seeing as you are so professional?

Because I dont give a **** about them, they have zero effect on my game or my ability to play. I'm merely making a suggestion that would bring us some extra business and maybe some pew if a miracle happened and the AGs actually got organised and ventured out of highsec.

I am a bit amused to see a low sec pirate group suggesting that a hisec militia group that fights ganking in hisec should go and blap the pox ridden POCO's of Shadow Cartel in low sec. That does not make any sense whatsoever.

Also in terms of your previous post it was hot air, you lot have no way of fighting CODE, you would be damn useless at it.

SC are hunters, hunting CODE. or their assets wouldn't be much of a problem for them... unlike you they do more ingame pvp than forum pvp Lol

Actually this weekend we had a lot of success stopping the freigter gankers and when they did kill one the loot fairy was especially kind to AG. Most of them logged off in disgust after they failed to gank a JF, which managed to get into warp as their gank fleet arrived and then cynoed out when it jumped into Kaap. The best part was one of the gankers getting really salty when we saved an Orca...

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Good to hear it, but all you are doing is disrupting them. Considering the amount of assets they destroy, the mechanics should be put in place so that we can do real damage to them.

And if they fight for their ability to gank, and succeed, than they deserve to be killing jump freighters everyday. But for now, we cant see if that is the case. They are protected and operate with impunity from real consequence.

I just think you are a useless troll, on one hand you talk about CODE not affecting you, which is evident you are in lowsec, the next thing you decide that AG should man up and blap your POCO's in lowsec. You are obviously butthurt over something, but I can't quite work out why you would think AG would 'man up' and have interest in your POCO's, it just seems utterly inane to me and I have you marked as a shrill for CODE.

I am curious on why you think this way. Please give me some examples that support your claim here.

And I am sure those on the opposite side can say how all these nerfs to ganking have been thrown down upon them (and the list is quite long) and yet they still adapt to continue, even with CCP interfering with it.

We don't need nerfs, we need carebears to start paying attention.

Let me start off by saying that I was a ganker in the past, and made tens of billions blowing up afk ships on gates in jita with smartbomb fitted typhoons. More nerfs to ganking is not the answer, I am firmly against changes to bumping, increasing ehp, etc., I think ganking should be easier to acheive. CCP have been approaching suicide ganking incorrectly for years. Giving players the ability to retaliate against gankers is the way to balance ganking, not nerfs.

This notion that carebears should just pay attention is ridiculous as well. There is the prevention aspect of ganking which many carebears fail at, and their is the post gank retaliation aspect, which is severely underpowed/unbalanced. Just because someone was lazy and lost a ship does not mean the mechanics to retaliate should not exist, but unfortunately that is the case.

The one example that matters is the fact that CODE destroys hundreds of billions in assets every week and the only assets of theirs that are at risk are throw away gank ships. If an entity is dealing that much damage, their assets should be at risk ask well, but that is not the case, at best the the community can spend there game time disrupting CODE, when the players should have the ability to destroy CODE. The gameplay is unbalanced.

It's kind of hard to meaningfully retaliate against someone when they're an alt who never undocks anything shinier than a cat.

This.

There are literally only a couple of mechanics changes that are needed to give players the ability to retaliate with out actually nerfing suicide ganking.

Yeah, but what would they be? And would it take 5 or 10 minutes to figure out a way around it?
If you get a killright against the account, they can't keep their other characters hidden or it would be worth next to nil.
If you can read their wallet history, they'll get craftier about how they give themselves stuff. Between ganks, they could run an otherwise legitimate ship giveaway scam, and nobody would suspect anything. Was that the main who fell for the 666M firetail, another alt, or just some noob who sold a plex and got a crash course in the careful reading of contracts? Then there are dead drops of stuff which don't leave any paper trail at all. And then there are plex purchases and sales.

Seems to me the only way you could take the fight to CODE, would be to stop these "max mining, no tank whatsoever afk miners" to stop logging on.

Something along the lines of the following:

- Remove NPC faction police that attack criminal players in high sec space, or not, does not matter

- Allow unoccupied ships floating in space to be destroyed without criminal flag.

- Toons with -5 and below sec status should not be able to dock in high sec stations, -4 sec status toons can dock in .5 systems and up, -3 sec status toons can dock in .6 systems and up and so on. All toons regardless of sec status can dock in citadels, at the citadel owners discretion. This restriction would push more players out of NPC stations and into citadels. Citadel markets specifically for criminals would spring up in lower high security space. This would also allow players who are fed up to target citadels that harbor and supply specific criminals. Also, gankers would have to undock in something other than a throw away gank ship to go rat if they wanted to access higher security status NPC stations, giving players the opportunity to destroy gankers in their more expensive ratting ships. This would create content, and would be good for EVE.

With these changes, suicide ganking stays the same, but those who gank are at risk of retaliation.

So am I the only one who noticed that the OP character is in Doomheim and the idiot OP is now posting on an even more offensively named alt?

I'm sorry, I can't even care about this conversation anymore, I'm just going to fixate upon this detail...wondering what circumstances led to this change...and if they are likely to be repeated...

edit: Perhaps the change the OP really wants to see from CCP is a permanent ban for himself - if so I wish him the best of luck in obtaining one, but he may have to try a little bit harder.

Though I am a CODE supporter with the content creation they bring, most of the people in AG and those who rail against CODE first talk about not being able to fight them. The problem is they see that the only option that you have to fight them is to go with your cheap ass ship and go blow up their cheap ass ship.

Which you are wrong.

The way you counter CODE and the ganking is through education. When a new player starts, they are basically given no education on what this game really is about. I feel that CCP really screwed the pooch when it comes to their NPE (New Player Experience). If these newer players are taught what they need to know (setting contacts, aligning while watching local, fittings, etc), then that should bring about less and less targets for CODE to find. Even I can go out and find easy newbie targets to kill with little to no effort. It isn't the newbies fault, they are just not given the education they need to survive.

I started playing this game three years ago (August 2013) and had a bit of a sense of the game since I researched it online and in youtube before committing to this game. Going through the career agents and then onto Eve University really didn't prepare me until I went into wormholes and actually joined a good corporation who showed me the ropes and it became an amazing experience.

But now the NPE sucks donkey balls. Have you actually tried it? Just make up a new toon and just run through it.

It sucks. Badly. There is no direction whatsoever. At least Aura told you where to go and what to do. I had my friend (41 year old man) try and see if he could figure it out and he got frustrated and told me the game sucks.

So, these new players come through confused...and then get caught up in these horrible player run corps who just tell them to get a mining ship and go pewpew some rocks. No education on setting CODE to red, watching local, staying aligned, putting some sort of tank on their ship, etc etc.

During my solo highsec wardec days where I targeted these bad corporations and exploded newbies, I would follow it up with a mail to them explaining on what happened to them and if they were made aware that they were at war. I was surprised at what they told me.

So I am actually at a crossroads in my Eve career. I could either go and wage destruction somewhere...or I could form a corporation and try to help teach these new players how to:

1) Properly fit a Venture, Mining Barge or Exhumer.
2) How to spot gankers and ganker alts.
3) What local is for...
4) How to survive wardecs...
5) Set up contacts for gankers and corporation/alliances
6) Teach them what Eve Online really is and how to survive this PvP game
7) Other stuff...

Been thinking on it for a while. Not sure where I will be heading soon. Big smile

TL;DR: You cannot fight CODE head on, you will lose. You must hurt them where it would affect them the most. Remove naive targets from the field and they have no one to make money off of, pilots will get bored and CODE *could* fall apart. But realize they are masters of adaptation.

Yeah me too, most people fail to understand that AG is really a resistance movement in the main who try to educate people not to be silly and try to disrupt CODE activities.

Fact is when I thought about setting up something in hisec I never looked at CODE as worth going after, it was the war dec entities that interested me and the reason was there was nothing of value in attacking them (CODE) and the mechanics were in their favour.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.
