Hello LAGL,

Well, I've finally completed my binge viewing of the Babylon 5 saga in chronological order which includes the original TV series of 5 seasons, 22 episodes each season, 5 movies and 2 spin off series with the first one consisting of 13 episodes aired out of order and the last spin off series released as a movie consisting of 2 story's due to being dropped by the studio after starting production.

* The framing story is set in 2278.
** The final episode of the season includes scenes of future events up to 3262 and beyond.

Some of the episodes in the second season were aired out of their intended chronological sequence. The producer confirmed that, in Season 2, "A Race Through Dark Places" (episode 7) should have preceded "Soul Mates," (episode 8) and that "Knives" (episode 16) should have preceded "In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum." (episode 17)


"Crusade", the first spin off series had all of the episodes aired out of chronological order for the original broadcast which resulted in numerous continuity errors. The largest continuity error is most evident in the last 3 episodes which showed the crew wearing their original uniforms again when new uniforms had been introduced in the episode "Appearances and Other Deceits". Originally there were 22 episodes planned with the fourteenth episode explaining the return to the original uniforms, which the cast preferred to wear according to the producer.

'The Lost Tales' was originally planned to be a series of character focused short films, structured in an anthology format released on DVD. The project was dropped after the first short film was produced.
