The two types of pvp you mentioned are carebear PVP so you're right about that. However, lots of "proper" pvp happens all the time in many places, a good place to look for it is in WH corporations where people who to really know wth they're doing and generally also deal with people who know wth they're doing. Relatively small scale combat and high quality pilots.

I have several regular Corps, none of which are in highsec. I won't disband (well, I might need to fix my spelling error).

I don't need to disband. Wardecs are not a problem if you know what you are doing.

So I'm happy to keep that Corp active and with active membership for what was it? 4-6 months continuous wardec.

Yeah where is the PvP? P

I spent some time yesterday flying a Kestrel after being inspired on #tweetfleet, bought 7 of them with some cheap implants and the green and the red skins ... went on a one hundred jump loop through nullsec from downtown Oris, the super trade hub in Amarr. Passed through a few headquarter systems for sovereignty holding alliances looking to pick off easy stragglers or maybe other soloers.

I killed a cyno alt in Brave Newbies HQ, and about 10 jumps later I killed a pod asking to be 'pod expressed' home. Sad

About 20 jumps from getting back to my wormhole I live in, I found a Crow on a gate, and one other pilot in local. I tried to break his ridiculously fast speedy orbit but I felt like he was moving a bit fast - too fast. I took a bit too much damage and realized he was trying to get me away from the gate so I jumped through. I waited a few minutes and jumped back in for some more Slow Kestrel versus overly fast Crow and again, couldn't catch him.

Links are still a thing. (Pretty sure he was linked.) If not well then that's a compliment to you sir.

Ended up not being able to aggress him, I was spamming my warp scrambler/web buttons but I just couldn't seem to get within range, even though he teased me and let me get to 12km. Just said 'gf' when I made it back to the gate and went home.

100 jumps, got a Reaper and a pod. Pretty good for my 600m'ish investment Big smile

The red Kestrel skin looks great btw.

Based on my personal experience, I have never seen 20 man roam around with the goal and objective to kill solo roamers. What I have seen often is a 20 man fleet roaming to find other 20 man fleets, and killing all solo ships they meet on their way for passing time and keeping people active. It is not carebear PvP as the goal of the fleet never was to Blob that solo person, he was just collateral damage.

So it is annoying hearing l33t solo players complain about bigger fleets being F1 monkeys or carebear PvP IMHO. You have simply got the situation wrong imo, you are not the main target of fleets, other fleets are. Hence it is not carebar if you are roaming for an equal challenge, but engage everything else you meet. Besides I know plenty of great solo players who like to fleet up in FW, for the social aspect (Because being in a fleet says nothing about your solo skills). people are rarely one dimensional characters, who only engage in onekind of activity.

Newbies need to start realising the game starts when you get out of high sec.

In relation to your OP, there's really no need for FW to be the most crowded place.

One of the good things about Eve is that pvp can happen anywhere, for some people, that means lowsec in FW or as a neutral, in nullsec, in J-space or in highsec. Each has it's own particular style and different people find the area that allows them to pvp how they like.

Obviously, with the ability of people to choose highsec as their area to pvp, yes that means new players will find themselves in a Corp that is wardecced at some point, when they leave their NPC starter Corp. If the Corp can't handle a wardec, then that's really the fault of the leadership.

There are a lot of good Corps out there that don't care in the slightest about wardecs and continue to operate effectively, even in highsec.

The difficulty for new players is finding those good Corps. It's easy to spot the bad ones. Much harder to spot the good ones.


Give us your main account i will gladly pay the wardec fee to see how you handle war dec. For the duration of the war you will have to be in hs of course with the corp you are part of lol

Prove to the community you are not just a big mouth posting with many different alt on the same topic
