New Skiff Should Have 50% Drone Mining Bonus

If sisi stats stick, and bugs worked out of them, Mackinaw will beat Skiff by 25%. I'm saying maybe 50% Drone Bonus should apply to mining drones too.

If my math's correct (it wasn't at first, but these should be!), these are max-yield-fitted m³/s (rounded to 2 digits) of unboosted ships (no either) with all skills to V and with T2 modules and crystals

A) m³ per cycle
Procurer:   2924m³/c  »  1462m³/c    (-50%)
Retriever:  1593m³/c  »  1992m³/c    (+25%)
Covetor:    1170m³/c  »  1593m³/c    (+36.25%)
Skiff:      3187m³/c  »  1593m³/c    (-50%)
Mackinaw:   1593m³/c  »  1992m³/c    (+25%)
Hulk:       1170m³/c  »  1593m³/c    (+36.25%)

B) strip miners per ship
Procurer:   1         »  2           (+50%)
Retriever:  2         »  2           (unchanged)
Covetor:    3         »  2           (-33%)
Skiff:      1         »  2           (+50%)
Mackinaw:   2         »  2           (unchanged)
Hulk:       3         »  2           (-33%)

C) seconds per cycle
Procurer:   162.0s/c  »  162.0s/c    (unchanged)
Retriever:  162.0s/c  »  162.0s/c    (unchanged)
Covetor:    144.0s/c  »  121.5s/c    (-15.625% time = +18.5% m³/s)
Skiff:      145.8s/c  »  145.8s/c    (unchanged)
Mackinaw:   145.8s/c  »  145.8s/c    (unchanged)
Hulk:       122.4s/c  »  103.3s/c    (-15.625% time = +18.5% m³/s)

F) m³ per second (= A*B/C)
Procurer:   18.05m³/s »  18.05m³/s   (unchanged)
Retriever:  19.67m³/s »  24.59m³/s   (+25%)
Covetor:    24.37m³/s »  26.23m³/s   (+7.65%)
Skiff:      21.86m³/s »  21.86m³/s   (unchanged)
Mackinaw:   21.86m³/s »  27.32m³/s   (+25%)
Hulk:       28.67m³/s »  30.86m³/s   (+7.65%)

Minor fitting changes, no base stat changes, no other role bonus changes.

Interpretation: please come out of your skiffs, so the gankers have some content again!

The thing that's whack here is: Mackinaw Role Bonus not applying. Skiff is fine, it has same yield as currently on live.

When the Mack bonus is fixed, the Mack should mine 25% more than the Skiff. However, if the Skiff's role drone damage bonus applies to mining drones, that would mean Mack only mines 8% more than Skiff.

fyi the skiff has had a 50% drone damage bonus for a few years.

And the mack Should have the lowest yield. it presently has, so it should retain it

CCP needs to get rid of the outdated mining drones or make them useful so we can stop dealing with these threads

Wow, such salt over something that can give 15%-30% additional yield .

My math says: 5,15 m³/s for 5x T2 Mining Drone. Sounds awful.
I like the idea of a drone-focused mining barge & exhumer. I also like the idea of buffing mining drones themselves up to the point where you could put a character in a drone ship and make it guard the mining operation, and by using mining drones, not be entirley useless at all.

All existing mining ship's yields could be balanced towards usage of mining drones, making up significant amounts of the yield, and create a barge that actually only relies on drone usage, accomodated by big hull bonuses towards mining drones. It would already make mining more interactive simply because your range to the target asteroid affects your yield (drone travel time).

Wanna do some math and fire up a F&I thread? I'm down for it!
