Please tell me which is better for the above mentioned careers so to speak lol. Other ship recommendations also welcome. Thank you.

I think both of those choices are pretty horrible. Yeah they are good ships, but the problem is that people know they are good ships. Part of baiting people into agression is making them think you are a soft target and underestimating your capabilities. I cant give you any insight as to how they would perform against battleships and such, but i and others like Ralph King Griffin can explain how we did it.

Frigates and Assault Frigates are great because often times the target will get tricked into thinking youre an easy target, but hes far from being right. While drones and neuts are your worst nightmare, most carebears will have a hard time tracking you. I recommend the dual rep incursus or ishkur with a set of halo implants for sig tanking. It really is a thrill when youre slowly pinging away on a battleship in a frigate. Ive personally killed a healthy number of battleships, but my all-time best is killing a Kronos in an Ishkur. You can read about it in the link on my signature (shameless plug!)

That said, its probably not impossible with a Stratios or Ishtar, but you will most definitely have more fights in a frigate. If you want us to choose between the two though i would go for Stratios. It has neut and drone sexyness and can fit a probe launcher for finding those juicy battleship targets. If you have more questions, just ask and there are plenty of experienced people here to help.

Thank you for your reply. So Which is better between Ishould and includes and what kind of dps can I get out of these ships? Can you point me to a good skill plan or build? Thanks again.

with the stratios you can kinda pretend to be an inept explorer,
5-700dps depending on how you fit it , has room for scary neuts, plenty of mids for interesting thingys
apparently the bears arent as afraid of it as they should be, ill grant you do see a lot of idiots fly them so that might have something to do with it.

the ishtar i suspect is a little too scary to pull it off, they were known to be op in the recent past so you will likely spook the bears.

the reason frigates work so well for this though is they are quite difficult for battleships to apply damage to.
this is much less the case with cruisers so you will have to tank fairly well

Also, with the new asklepion(sp?) implants the dual rep incursus has become a special kind of monster.
Using them instead of halos is a fairly worthwhile tradeoff in the case of that particular ship.

Ishkur and Enyo are probably the beefiest frigs for this kind of job, sporting a solid tank and good DPS. The Ishkur has more versatility due to the two full flights of light drones it can sport, but the Enyo packs more damage and tends to be easier to fit.

That said, the Federation Navy Comet is not to be overlooked. It's faster than the others, can sport two flights of 3 light drones and with it's tracking bonus you really don't need to swap ammo to pop drones. It also packs a pretty mean punch.

Any of these ships can and will and have destroyed mission battleships. The incursus may have a tough time with battleships as it's dps is significantly lower than the others. Best for battlecruisers or cruisers.

The Hecate may get some results, but I'm not a fan. It melts MTU's fast and it's tanky, but it's slow and people are wary of the T3 destroyers for a reason.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

For MTU hunting, you go with either the Svipul or Hecate for the expanded probe launcher and decent dps...OR

Try a Gnosis. Can fit expanded probe launcher and it does like 550 dps. Kills MTU quickly and has a bit of a tank.

Or use an Incursus and laugh at the mission bear as you tank his damage like a baws, yo.

Stratios: classic choice, the dual Gecko version is almost standard now. Still many bears that underestimate it (they are BEARS).

Ishtar: just say no. Not a bad ship, but even a bear runs screaming from an Ishtar....

Vex Navy: poor man's Ishtar and about 80% as effective. Can't tank as well but hey, it's cheap. Also, much more likely to get shot at...:)

T3 dessies: they run away, therefore, bad choice.

T1 frigs: Tristan the best choice IMO. Dual-rep Incursus is good, but is now legendary. Bear may smell trap.

T2 frigs: Ishkur and Enyo good choices. Armor Vengeance surprisingly effective, as well. Make sure you have LOTS of ammo.

BEST CHOICE EVER: Astero. There is no substitution.

Honorable Mention: Battle Venture OF DOOM. Blaster version, obviously.

LOLFIT: Battle Proc/Skiff. Don't laugh, these things are beasts. BEASTS.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)
