Do other European countries run on a skeleton crew for months at a time to allow people to all take vacation at once during the summer?

I'm a 40 hour a week 52 week per year working American who generates 10 vacation hours per month which have to be approved by my supervisor to be used and has 12 paid holidays per year so I'm genuinely asking if any other company would let that many people take off at one time.

American holiday allowence sucks balls compared to europe (Im on 26 days holiday a year and I'm considered to be getting the shaft in the uk). Plus iceland gets a little over 4 hours of sunlight in winter so summer is a big deal.

CCP larikhan.... yeah thats your new name cause this half-arsed rework for the rorqual is pretty weak.. you guys had 2 years to fix the rorqual.. look what you did for the capital pilots, they raged and got their balance moved up and worked on.. meanwhile you avoided the rorqual cause you have no idea what to do with her.. this proves soo much that you never mined in your life, you never mined in null and that fozzie really does enjoy killing industry with his ideas!!

hey why dont you just go ahead and post the fawking dev blog and the REQUIREMENT about fighters V and those new drones you're using to dangle the carrot.. so this is all the rorqual is basically getting

a tractor beam bonus ( as if many really use that thing.. for sake of all common sense)

an EHP tank bonus.....cause hell you must show you did some work on it.. the numbers already dont add up to what you did for the other capitals.. rorqual is basically getting thrown some random numbers to make it look good.

Miner tabpoles. that transform into fighters which he's saying can defend the rorqual... rofl.. im laughing so hard at this guy.. just fawking admit it dude.. unless you give the rorqual like a special 20 drone bandwidth. and CONTROL RANGE mind you.. dont forget about that one sonny!. its still fawking useless.. and i can imagine how the carrier and super carrier pilots will moan and groan and whine if they cant field as many fighters as the rorqual could. you know this will happen!

Super-Invul Mode... rofl.. epic fail last for 5 minutes.. basically the emergency hull module with a different name.. lame and so cut and copy that its pathetic.. you guys really waited 2 years to come up with this.. epic

Remote Rep Bonus -... the fawk??? so whats the put of remote repping an entire immobilized fleet of mining barges and 5 funky looking drones??

The Rorqual will be able to launch mining super-drones, so there will be more reasons that just the Super-Invuln-Module. <<< this is how they're billing the rorqual so that pilots Ignorant ones will follow like sheep and field a 3bn fawking ship thats a sitting duck for hotdroppers, blop droppers, and fozzie-droppers in November.. congrats ccp on giving even more reason to stop playing and paying for this game.. you're doing a wonderful job.

You are correct sir, there are a lot of people crying about these changes but 90% of them want to keep an afk booster in a pos all day ( I do too), and not have to risk anything ever while making a much larger profit then people in highsec mining.

Things these people miss are simple.

it can tank a super as it is now, and the tank is getting buffed and it still deals out 1k dps. very few roaming ships can tank that and that's ignoring the mining fleets drones. (mining fleets don't have to warp away and half of the time if they didn't the aggressors would die)

Will be able to mine at least as well as a hulk but most likely better yield. (CCP at fan fest)

Will be able to pause the battle to call in help, a proper ratting carrier costing roughly the same can't say that.


As far as the tractor and remote rep bonus those were already there so if anyone is complaining about them not being useful additions, have you ever even looked at your ship besides to turn on the core and walk away?

Rorqual is already a beast of a ship, people just don't realize that because its mostly indy pilots flying them who don't care about ship stats when they are behind a pos shield.

This ship operates in nullsec, grow a pair, if you can't defend your assets then maybe you don't deserve them?

Now it all depends on how well it mines, but if it mines just 1.5x what a hulk does, ill be putting 5 or 6 in a belt, not just one, and if you drop on that then you better have 200 bombers or a few supers/titans because if you don' t, you are going to die.

Oh... I didn't realize they had an Alaska sunlight thing going on. I guess it makes sense to let people take off during the summer but it just seems silly to me to run on a skeleton crew for 3 months.

To be blunt honest, after watching the o7 show regarding changes to mining boosts I am seriously looking at my mining alt's skill points and seeing what might be salvageable.
