Hey all, I decided to come back to Eve and have a toon with like almost 5 million SP. I just logged in and have no idea where I am or where to go lol. Do I :

#1 start a new toon and start the tutorials and waste the 5 million sp i have on this guy or :

#2 Stay with this guy and if I do is there tutorials that I can do over again so I can figure out what to do like mining and exploration tutorials etc...?

#3 How do I see where I am and what is a safe haven to go to where the noobs hang out? I rather navigate my way there and start there again till I get my wits back... Thank you all...

Oh and 1 last thing is exploration fun and good way to make isk? I was thinking of explor , mining, and or hauling. Let me know what ya think. Please keep in mind I am a total noob due to not having played this game since 2012. Thanks...

You can do the tutorials again np, just hit f12 and there should be an option to lead you to your nearest agents

There are 3 sets of tutorial agents for each race, 12 sets in total and you can do all 12 sets on any character and then repeat them every 3 months. Which is a good way of sorting out your faction standings if you need to. Plus get a bunch of T1 free ships, typically 2 mining frigates, 4 or 5 combat frigates, 1 or 2 Haulers and a Dessies per set.

So no, don't re-roll to do them again. Some of those 5M SP will be useful in what ever career you choose and character age is no longer relevant in the game now that skill injectors exist.

Exploration is one way of making isk and a viable path many new player take.

Yes and no.
You can rip out sp, and respec using skill extractors
But
It only works above 5.5 mill sp,
It only works on 500,000 blocks so you would only be able to use 1and
you are probably going to just end up training the same stuff anyway

So, not worth it imo.

Hello and welcome back to Eve.

Definitely do the Career Agents for the free stuff and to help get reacquainted with the game again.

Don't know what skills you already have trained but make sure you have the Core Fitting skills trained up at least to level 4, then work on maxing them asap. Core Fitting Skills will allow you to easily fit up ships. Don't forget to train up the other main / support skills as well such as specific ship, defense, offense and career oriented skills. Don't just queue up one skill to train multiple levels, queue up multiple skills to train up one level each, that way you'll be able to easily play the game much sooner.

These are listed in alphabetical order only, which skill to train first depends on your specific needs.

*Core Fitting Skills*

Acceleration Control - To maximize Afterburner & MWD speed.
Advanced Weapon Upgrades - To reduce turrets and launchers powergrid need.
Afterburner - To reduce Afterburner duration & capacitor need.
Capacitor Management - To maximize Capacitor.
Capacitor Systems Operation - To maximize capacitor recharge rate.
CPU Management - To maximize CPU.
Electronics Upgrades - To reduce sensors & co-processors CPU requirements.
Energy Grid Upgrades - To reduce power modules CPU requirements.
Evasive Maneuvering - To increase acceleration & agility.
Fuel Conservation - To reduce Afterburner capacitor need.
High Speed Maneuvering - To reduce MWD capacitor need.
Hull Upgrades - To maximize armor.
Mechanics - To maximize structure.
Navigation - To increase ship velocity.
Power Grid Management - To maximize powergrid.
Repair Systems - To operate best armor/hull repair modules.
Shield Management - To maximize shield.
Shield Operation - To maximize shield recharge rate.
Shield Upgrades - To reduce shield upgrades powergrid need.
Spaceship Command - To increase ship agility.
Warp Drive Operation - To reduce capacitor need for warp.
Weapon Upgrades - To reduce turrets and launchers CPU need.

Good luck to you, may you have a long and rewarding career here.

Keep your 5 million skillpoint character; it's about 3 months of training, not something to throw away.

I was going to suggest creating a new character to get the tutorial again, but CCP has removed the actual tutorial, and has only left the career agent missions, which you can do with your current character.

So, you can kinda look at what you've trained so far, and decide whether you want to continue that. It's very likely that you'll need the same "support" skills that you trained before (armor, shields, engineering, electronics, navigation, targeting, etc. - these are universal, everyone needs them). But maybe you don't want to do mining anymore, or you want to go with a different set of ships from a different race.

So the best thing, I think, is to start training what you like to train now, and in a couple months when you're at 6 - 7 million accumulated skill points, you can actually extract the ones you feel are "useless" and inject those points into skills you find useful.

This is the re-spec option. It just doesn't unlock until you're past 5.5 million points trained. And also it follows the skill dependencies and prerequisites for what it will let you remove. But, basically, it's likely that some of your skills will be useful, so you'll only need to extract a few.

So train what you want for a couple months, then look at what you can extract and reuse.

They're not the only ones.

These left from the list are all at 4.

Acceleration Control is extremely useful if you spend any time flying frigates. High Speed Maneuvering helps a lot when you fly a ship that keeps the mwd lit 90+% of the time.
How you have gotten to over 50mil SP and still don't have advanced weapon upgrades at five is beyond me, but whatever, they aren't my SP.

Are you sure the career agents can be repeated every 3 months, or were you thinking of the Sisters of Eve - Blood Stained Stars epic arc?

AWU only really needed if you want to fly marauders. Sure, some fits will need the +2% implant instead, but it's not like you can't live without it. Same for other skills.

You can see where you are by opening the map. The map is a whole thing in and of it's self in this game. There is the new map and then the old map and within those two choices there is so much configuration that you can do to find out information that it is almost overwhelming. But back on point open the map and you can see where you are located in the universe and what is out there as far as "K space" systems. "UK space" (a.k.a. wormhole space or UnKnown space) is not shown on any map other than the solar system map.

As far as a "safe haven" no such thing exists in Eve. There are starter systems and there are slightly higher restrictions on scamming and such in those systems but they are by no means safe and honestly I can not think of a reason for you to seek them out. IMHO you are better off seeking a group of vets to hang out with and learn from.

This is a game and to me fun / hour is more important than isk / hour. That being said if you have no direction I suggest you try everything out and then do more of what you like.

You don't need many skills to try stuff out and get a feel for it. Level 1 and 2 skills take almost no time and even level 3 typically are not bad at all to train. You can train up a lot of different things to try out.

So my suggestion is to get together a mental list for yourself of things you'd like to try and then start working your way through that stuff. My guess is that you will find your place in the game before you make it to the end of that list.

Only the Epic Arcs can be repeated every 90 days.

He's correct in saying there's 3 sets of Career Agents for each of the 4 major Factions. Each set has 5 Career Agents which means each Faction has 15 Career Agents available. Total amount of Career Agents available is 60.

However each Career Agent can only be completed once in the life of the character.
