In-Game Events and Gatherings

New Eden,

A battle is about to take place. Immortal beings rising to face each other in order to determine the one who will conquer the skies; the one who will battle for hours and not falter; the one who will outwit his enemies... and comrades; the one who will persevere where everyone else withered away. Who will rise to the challenge and be crowned the Theomachy champion? Will Robby Godfather keep his title, or will a new challenger step forth and achieve perfection?
One thing is certain, there will be bloodshed, there will be betrayals and there will be only one victor.

Repercussus will be hosting this year's Theomachy on CCP’s Singularity Server with the help of CCP Leeloo. Similar to last year's Theomachy, a solar system will be prepared with beacons containing treasures to help you achieve victory as well as traps to help others defeat you. Hundreds of capsuleers will be fighting it out for 4 hours only to find the one true champion.

There is only one way to find out if you have what it takes to achieve victory...

Information

Theomachy will take place on August 27th 2016 @ 2000 EVE Time.

Participants will have to join the hosting corporation "Ludus Gallicus" on singularity.
As such, participants will have to leave their corporation on Singularity by no later than 1900 Eve time August 25th. This is to ensure members can join the hosting corporation.
All Participants are to be docked in any station in 6-CZ49 at 1900 Eve time August 27th (use the /moveme command).
All pilots will then be moved to the hosting system where a countdown will take place for the battle to begin.
When you register, be sure that the API key you make is for the character you plan participate in the event with not an account api.


Here are the general rules of the event:


- There is no podding within the first 5 minutes of the event. No exceptions.
- The Overseers are not authorized to Pod anyone unless sudden death is declared
- You are eliminated from the tournament when you are podded. Any attempt to rejoin will result in immediate removal by CCP and voiding any prizes you have earned.
- If you are podded by someone before the first 5 minutes, link your lossmail in the "Theomachy The Event" channel so we can investigate and get you back in.
- Stargates and celestials are off limits! Anyone caught at any of these will get removed from the event.
- Tactical Bookmarks up to 250km off the beacon are allowed, this will however make you a target of the hunters.
- Structures are not a viable target.
- Standings in Ludus Gallicus will be adjusted to show who you can/can't shoot. Any actions towards a +10 or +5 standing target will be met with harsh consequences.
- A custom overview for the event will be provided
- If Singularity should go down, you will have 5 minutes to log back in from the moment the servers are back up. Purposely taking longer than 5 minutes to log back in will get you disqualified from the event.
- If you disconnect during the event, you have the time it takes our probing team to find you to log in.

Once the event starts, capsuleers will scramble to board ships available at the different beacons. Throughout the event, new ships will be dropped at these beacons as well as anchored cans that can contain useful modules, ammo or a bunch of mining lasers. Emergent events will be ongoing throughout the event which can range from loot filled haulers flying around, to Dreads brawling it out with each other. You can earn boons from the Overseers from some emergent events ranging from a good fitted ship, immunity from hunter attacks, implants and some other surprises.

What are the prizes available? As of right now sponsorships has allowed Repercussus to ensure a minimum prize pool of 36.5 Billion ISK. Furthermore, there will be additional ways to gain prizes, similar to achievements, such as destroying the most valuable cargo, most kills, etc and those will be made public later.

We are also improving on the event from last year in a few ways.

• Overseers will not interfere in any small gang fights, focus will be on larger groups
• More variety in the usable fits and they have been tailored for lower skilled pilots
• More stuff to help you in the event can be earned by the actions during the event
• Mordus Legion ships will be more rare
• Some Troll Fit ships might have surprises hidden in them despite being poorly fit
• Streaming and commentary will be provided by Eve NT

Update: Thanks to gracious donations from Lenny Kravitz2 of I Want Isk and The Valhalla Project, our prize pool is now up to 100b. Yes, Robin, that's right those innovative crime fighters at CCP are graciously providing a whopping 6 (yes, count 'em, 6) trial accounts that anyone with any sense at all can get right now.

Hold on Batman, can you blame them for being such cheap-skates??? I mean after all they did give those pricy Scorps to that one corp that was eventually closed because of evil RMT activities.

Great Scott, Robin, you are right, I had completely forgotten about that....it seems the folks at CCP cannot distinguish between favoritism and direct support for a corporation or group and support for an event that should benefit the entire community.

As usual, Oh great caped crusader, you bring sanity to an insane world!!! What would we ever do without you!! However, Bats, I must point out that these events are typically seen as rigged because the hosting corporation often walks away with the lions share of prizes thus, rendering the whole affair much like a fiendish plot of your arch nemesis, The Joker!!!

Surely you jest, Robin!! But then again, maybe CCP should actually put on an event that really reward the community...with actual, real, and in-game valuable spoils. Notice the word valuable Robin, as opposed to ultra-rare?

1. This is done on SISI thus no loss and the alliance itself is not involved as this is a corp thing that we have done two times since.
2. The prizes were valid and being as how CCP is involved and helping with this event there is no chance for it to be a scam.
3. The game time prizes from CCP are due to the event being done on sisi instead of TQ. There are many reasons why the event is not doable on TQ as I would prefer to do it there but it was simply not possible due to some game mechanics.
4. You are welcome to not sign up as there is literally no cost and every single person will get something at the very least even if they do not win any of the achievements.

The results for this years Theomachy event have been finalized after some technical difficulties with our killboard not pulling everything but that has been solved.

• Most Ships Lost was Diterikhs with 53 ships lost
• Commentator Favorite Ship the Endurance Frigate was on 39 kill mails and 2 solo kills
• Battleship with the most kills was the Machariel
• Ship that was destroyed the most was the Breacher
• Ship that killed the most was the Cynabal(Cambion excluded)
• Commentator Favorite Ripped McBigHuge SquatThrust had 34 kills and 26 losses

• Commentator Favorite Zeke Dreyton had 15 kills no losses
• Captain Alexis got the most achievements of all participants at 6
• Captain Alexis also got the most kills out of all participants at 146
