Please warp to an anomaly with clouds and submit a bug report with FPS on screen, so CCP can check. I did so, but had a discussion with a bug hunter about my 3 year old NVIDIA drivers (notebook certified ones) ... I will try to upgrade to the newest from NVIDIA on the weekend. So please give them input, if you have similar issues ...

The market in citadels is unbearably slow, the entire window becomes unresponsive, data is not loading or erratically loading on top of search queries. That needs to be fixed before you put out more of these useless new stations!

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

I am experiencing massive connection drops when playing.
Up to a constant 1000ms. This makes using TS and even plaing almost impossible.

So I have an awful connection and cant have the game load while playing. It would literally take me hours to jump once.
I downloaded the asset file you have to add to you launcher in order to minimize the loading time.

However Im suspecting that, after the update I have to download that file again.
Which would be a massive 9 hour download for me.
As I'm sure you can imagine that is not something I want to do.

Are there any known solutions?
I have tried to run the "updater" file, shipped with the asset zip but that does not seem to do anything.

Thanks In advance.

This should have been fixed in today's patch. Please let us know if you have any more issues with it Smile
Edit: it's not as slow now, but we are still investigating if there are other issues.

Any insight into whats up with the amd drivers?

Right now, the standing advice per CCP Savior is to make sure you are actually running the latest versions.

There doesn't seem to be (or at least I haven't seen) a specific condition that makes one system crash when another system running the same card (and OS etc) doesn't. But the Graphics QA team is on the task and looking into what might be at fault.

And if my information is woefully inadequate and/or already out of date, my only excuse is that I have been futzing with audio cards all day.

No worries,im sure its all amd's fault anyway.

Edit: Wow that reads rather pasive agressive, wasent ment to.
No realy, amd have screwed with drivers and locked me out of games for weeks on end before so it actually wouldnt suprise me if its happend again.

Cheers for poking though.
Good luck with the sound.

I've had this issue too, once docked in a station the Display Driver dies ... only way i've found to get around this is to change the launcher settings to running the client in DX9

That would be great! I will check it tomorrow.

Contract queries via the XML API now sometimes show citadels as start or end locations of courier contracts.

At the moment I'm displaying "??? citadel ???" instead of the station name. Is there yet a method of querying the name/location of a ctiadel from the API?

Trade Hub Price Checker: stop.hammerti.me.uk/pricecheck

Visit "Haulers Channel" in game for all matters courier-related.

Structure name/system API: stop.hammerti.me.uk/api

Couldn't wait, and it was less problematic than expected, so I updated my drivers ...

... sadly no performance improvement, still a massive drop with clouds on grid. Sad

Since the release and only while Eve is running, any application I open that produces audio (youtube, VLC, music app) - no longer produces any sound.

If I log out of Eve, they work again - immediately.

If an audio-producing function was active at logon, it continues to function properly even after pausing - but no new instances will produce audio while Eve is running.

The Volume Mixer shows that the applications are ostensibly producing sound

This is a little irritating...

I've got the same audio issue with Win7 and ASUS Xonar soundcard (C-Media CMI8788 chipset). No system sounds when EVE client is running. Disabling sounds in EVE client's properties turns system sounds on. Same thing was about a month ago when I launched EVE on Singularity.

Disabling other playback devices doesn't help.
Switching exclusive control of sound device doesn't help.
Clearing EVE cache doesn't help.
Reinstalling EVE client doesn't help.
Updating audio drivers doesn't help.

Waiting for CCP to fix that asap.

P.S. I have already sent a bug report via support tickets and still got no reply. Wondering for what I have payed money?

works fine otherwise.

Has anybody tried to actually set a citadel as a destination location? I have a Fortizar as a saved location, and when I set it as a destination then instead of the citadel I get the system as the destination. The only way I can get the citadel to be the actual destination is if I have it on grid and then right-click on it to set destination; even having it on grid and right clicking it in my saved locations does not work.

EDIT: It seems that only setting the destination from People&Places is not working properly. Setting the destination from the market or search does work properly.

Drones. Drones are a means to an end. An end to the ruthless Caldari 'progress' machines. An end to the barbaric 'redemption' proposed by the Amarr. What they see as chaos shall be my perfect order, merely beyond their comprehension.

UPDATE : unchecking "dynamic camera movement " solves this so its something to to with the new docking /undocking animation

Hey Stanley Ray and Steluna de Chasteux!

You can read this a little further back in this very thread, but manually disabling all other sound devices through the Sound menu in the Windows Control Panel (leaving the discrete card selected as the default device) should provide a temporary workaround until we can patch with a better solution in client.

The audio team is on this, and we're trying to make sure we don't break anything else when we put out a fix.

This doesn't help as i wrote in my post before. I wish the problem to be fixed soon and I'm looking forward the gametime compensation beginning from the patch 118.7 release until the bug is fixed.

improvements to graphics performance in areas that have clouds

Is this one of those cheeky comments that are made with intentional irony? Because literally the opposite happened with this patch.

My system normally runs EvE at full settings and I get a full 40-60 FPS at all times. Until this patch hit. Now, I still get those framerates until I get into any areas with clouds. My FPS drops to single digits. I had to mess with graphics settings during a mission to make the game playable again - the only setting that made any sort of impact was switching the shader quality down to "low". Then I got my FPS back to the 60 range. After the mission, including warp, jumping to other systems, docking (no docking animation FYI), all else with a HIGH shader quality while maintaining a high FPS. So it's just the areas with cloudy stuff and other misc. floating space junk that normally colors the landscape around missions. But clouds are the worst offender that I've noticed so far.

My laptop never had trouble rending anything at max graphics setting until this patch. Now my graphics totally choke in anomalies like forsaken/forlorn hubs and havens (unless I turn off all effects), but no problems anywhere else. Cry
