not Authorized
You have correctly installed valid API-Keys!
However, none of the characters on those keys appear to be allowed to use VIPPY. Contact your Vippy admin!

Anyone know what i need to do, and don't say contact vippy admin lol. tried 3 alts none work.

He is the man who created and manages Vippy.
Your toons that use Vippy have to be in a corp that is authorized to use it.
You have to give him your mains name so he knows who you are and can fix the issue.

Or you can just not use vippy.

VIPPY is the best mapping tool I've used, and I've mostly used them all over the years.

You are giving nothing to Vippy that you don't give to other mapping tools. Less in fact, as the API key (last I checked) is far less revealing for VIPPY.

Basically the error you are getting is because the character/s on the API key you provided isn't in a corporation or alliance on the access list of any active VIPPY subscriptions. Bloem offered to sort that for you and work out why it wasn't working.

Wait what am I reading here? Some idiot thinks that all mapping tools come free of charge with zero api implications? Wow, go back to null dude...

Have you used Tripwire, and can you provide comparison?

Not recently and there have been huge strides made forward with Tripwire since I last used it. Siggy too, for that matter. But I've not bumped into anything that Vippy doesn't do that has made me reach for the alternatives for quite a while now (18 months maybe?).

tripwire was almost completely unusable compared to any other mapper ive used when i used it last year.
at the end of the day, siggy has always been the best, all the others are just trying to rip it off as much as possible.

the latest one ive used is pathfinder (since it was crest compatible first) and while its functionality is completely fine, it's way too over the top with gimmicks and fancy animations...

realistically it's a pointless argument, all the mappers do everything you need and have done so for years (well, with the exception of tripwire, which was utter garbage for a very long time and may or may not have gotten better recently) so the only thing it comes down to is personal preference.

I've used tripwire, siggy and Vippy so far and Vippy is by far my favourite.

The information that's easily available on it (in built and user added) is invaluable for fast and efficient scouting. The auto-mapper is also second-to-none (once you figure out how it's bookmarking system works).

Only thing that I can ask to improve it is to have the signature additions not have to refresh the page like tripwire does (HINT HINT BLOEM :D)

Also not paid or sponsored by Vippy :3

You can change its bookmarking system to the c5a/b/c way for each individual chain map by the way. :)
