I think mittens needs to tell progodlegend that xxxak needs to ~sleep with the fishes~, see?

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

So, let me get this straight. You have $4.5-5 Million (CAD) And yet your life is so boring that you actually still log into the game. Then you try to over compensate for your small **** and go on a forum and make a statement like that.

I must say, you fail at EVE for being 5 years old and have to use PLEX to buy your stuff.
You fail at RL because you're "rich" and "so busy" but yet still have the time to play videogames.

OP is bad. But it does seem clear that no one in their right mind should want their character to buy a supercap.

Many of the responses to the op say that he is doing it wrong. I agree being a supercap pilot in this game would suck. Is this a problem at all? Is owning a supercap supposed to suck?

I don't fly supercaps and probably never will unless they can be used for something other than the extremely rare cap fight or the extremely boring pos bash.

For some unknowable reason lots of corps don't consider bad posting grounds for being kicked.

I have no idea why.

Having put myself in the position of CEO if only in my mind of a huge Alliance, I asked myself. What do I want, a Titan or 30 Dreads at the ready? Titan lost.

I asked myself, whay do I want a super carrier or 15 carriers at the ready, what do I want?

Of course if I were the CEO I'd be thinking common sense and what best served my alliance, not the very counter intuitive policies in EVE of how much ISK can I burn in as short of time and what is the fastest way to **** people over?

Hence, why I am neither a CEO or a super Cap pilot.

Good points. I haven't really looked at from the perspective of a ceo.

As a player the question is would I rather buy a supercarrier that I have to sit in all the time (or train an alt for the purpose of sitting in it) or several carriers/dreads that I can dock and use whenever? After the nerf this seems a very easy question to answer. So yeah op is doing it wrong.

Buying supercaps and eagles both just seem to be a bad decision in this game. Is this the intent?

Has the same damage and resists as a regular titan, but ditches the doomsday but can cloak and warp out, and jumprange is increased over a regular titan, without the need for a cyno being at the destination at all, and with the room freed up by not having the doomsday onboard, the ship maintenance bay is far larger than a regular titan(think 10x larger here), so that a decent sized attack fleet can be formed as they leave the maintenance bay the instant the ship arrives on location with no warning to those being attacked from their scouts....It also has the ability to dock given the brutal training requirements, so having a holder alt is extremely unlikely.

Just a quick idea and not meant to be perfect, and i'm sure there are other good configurations to think about, and it's not so much about being overpowered, but catching hostiles with their pants down, anywhere and at any time with no warning at all...P

That would make pvp a bit more exciting and umpredictable to say the least...

CCP, with its new Crucible patch, has utterly ruined the end-game, aka Supercapitals. I know, the whiners are already screaming, "EvE doesn't have an end-game." Bullocks.

I've played this game for 5+ years, and the vast majority of "bittervets" I know own caps and own supercaps, or want super caps. No one has the long term "goal" of being a Battleship jocky/cannon fodder. At least, no one who will play EvE long-term.

The nubs who fly Dreaks in Level III missions come and go. They don't contribute much to industry, they don't contribute much to the politics of EvE, and they don't contribute much as FC or any of the other roles that keep the "sandbox" of EvE running.

I don't give much of a **** about what happens to my own super. For one thing, I bought it with Plex, and I have an almost unlimited amount of Plex in my RL bank account (Imagine about 10 of your parent's houses). Furthermore, being extremely busy in RL, I have not had time to log into EvE for any reason other than to change skills. So, as for my supercap, let it burn, let it die, let it rot in space. I will either Plex for another one, or fly a 'Nado, which looks more fun anyways.

But I am the Anti-Mittani.* Unlike him and his dark Horde, I do not want to see New Eden burn. I don't want to see 1000 rifters beat 100 supers. I don't want to see online player numbers drop and drop and drop. I don't want this game to go in the direction of SWG -- which died a horrible, twisted death when the Devs tried to appeal to the masses and the kiddies and the nubtards.

I was on the Something Awful forums long, LONG before The Mittani. I saw the first skirmishes between SA, 4chan, THWF, Gen May, and others. I understand their goals and motivations. And I loath them.

Come at me, bro.

TL;DL -- EvE is not a fun game; crying about my super; my tears, they fuel you. My tears, best tears.

*OTOH, perhaps he is right. EvE is not a fun game.

Well, an urn costs what, 50 bucks? So we can safely assume he has a thousand dollars.

digital has been around a very, very long time. I believe we were both in beta together.

In case you didn't get the point, he is suggesting that SuperCap preform more of a vital logistical and/or troop carrying role that requires them to actually go to the system, yet still be survivable.

Obviously that was off the cuff, and countless variations could be considered, but generally keeping with the theme of facilitating fleet jumps to a combat zone, and possibly providing close support capabilities while there, but leaving the heavy hitting to the Dreads.

It's a more logical, more believable, and more enjoyable premise than what we had (or currently have for that matter).

1: SuperCaps should be there to support a mixed conventional and cap fleet.
2: SuperCaps should preform vital functions that no other ship in existence can.
3: SuperCaps should give the rest of your fleet an advantage, as well as a vulnerability.

PS: Necro is bad.
