Hi,
I messed up and did not check wardec. So i got ganked and I convoed them to negotiate ransom. Paid the ransom, then they change the deal and demand I eject. The JF is badly damaged and I warned that if I eject the ship explodes and nobody gets anything.
ISK wise I have enough so I decided to play there ransom and further demands. This just shows with all the rude convo they use and their behaviour that they realy can not be trusted.

Of course they can't be trusted you muppet. This is not big news, next time take your beating like a man and don't try to buy your way out of it. Don't fly a JF during war unless you know how to do it safely etc.

You have something valuable somebody else wants,

They are given no consequences for killing you for the valuable object

The have you dead to rights, but they say they will leave said valuable object and you alone, if you pay compensation for the object from a remote account

They can't take the object unless they either kill you, or you let them have it.

There is no guarantee besides the attackers word



Does it make sense to send them the isk?

I'd do a self destruct before letting them get a KM, definitely wouldn't pay any ransom.

So after this AMAZING wall of text I'm sitting here dumbfounded that He has been playing since 2008 (assuming he's the original owner, and has played semi consistently since the character creation.) and still manage to be this clueless about so many obvious facts.

on a more serious note I feel like Y0UR M0THER has just hit his moment of enlightenment.. and now that he seems to have a very firm grasp of the obvious, He hopefully won't be flying JF's at war any time soon...

Heh, the only difference is when they have a contract they're Mercs and when they don't, they're Pirates.

It just shows that people that make a mistake and try to solve it don't have a chance in Eve. The mercs are too trigger happy. They could have had it all but all they got is some isk and crap loot.

The JF blew up, so that's ok. But if they worked together with me after making a deal they could have had a JF, all the loot and ISK.
I can't be arsed about the ISK, have too much too spend, but I like striking deals.

I hired merc corps before and this is a merc alliance that has no control over its members.

And yes, I know I fecked up, that is obvious, but what transpired after that makes the mercs look silly.
