Hi everyone, I am terrible at R&D. What is the best way to chug out a research and production alt? I am going to be producing ammunition at a POS.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

For just T1 ammo, or T2?

If just T1, I'd say production efficiency 5 is a must. Then add mass production and adv. mass production to get the number of lines you want. Similarly lab operation and adv. lab operation for research lines. Not as important for only T1 though.

For producing T1/T2 Ammunition:

Production Efficiency 5
Mass Production 5
Advanced Mass Production 4
Cybernetics 5 (For manufacturing time reduction implant, 3 if you want the 3% one)

For T2
Minimum required skill for BPC you are manufacturing

For Research:
Really need to know what you want to do with research. Do you want to invent T2 Ammunition? What types? The skills will depend on that. If you want to just research some T1 items to produce (not needed for T2 Ammunition), then that affects what you do.

If you are just producing items, it's much easier to train for and I'd go with the above. Research/Invention? Depends. Just need some more specifics.

T1 copy/research slaves are pretty light on requirements, figure 14-20 days (depending on whether you train up Metallurgy IV).

Science IV
Laboratory Operation V
Scientific Networking III
Advanced Laboratory Operation IV
Metallurgy IV (optional if you're not doing ME research)

For a manufacturing alt (T1 only), you need about 38 days.

Industry III (Industry IV recommended)
Mass Production V
Advanced Mass Production IV
Production Efficiency V
Supply Chain Management III

To manufacture T2, you often need Engineering V, Science V, Industry V, Mechanics V (about 23 days) - plus 1-2 points in the datacore skills associated with the item, and possibly some supplementary skills. And that time is on top of what you need for a T1 production alt.

Okay. Thanks for the help guys! I will be manufacturing both tech 1 and tech 2 items. The tech 1 items I'll be making are actually Anaconda Mines (about 120 isk worth of items involved in making those) and ripping copies. For the tech 2, I'll be producing Null L, so yeah.

Okay, thanks.
