Well...something has changed on the launcher. I say this as it refuses to work today.

I was on it yesterday 29/7 until about 11pm BST, without any issues.

I didn't try to get on until about 3pm BST today, and the ExeFile crashes the client before it opens up the screen.

Not sure if there are others with this problem.

EDIT: Nevermind. I restarted my computer and it worked fine.

Launcher issue/Bug

I use suspend to disk on my System (win7) and since a while the launcher fail with log in in my accounts after i startet my system.
I get a white account list with the dino in and all accounts reported with red informations could not logged in.

After i hit refresh (i need this since the new launcher exist verry offten^^) the launcher want again accountlogin - password and often charname. (all accountnames are remembered in the drop down^^)
the account i log in show up as top in the list (who it wasnt) and not in my order and even not with the setting checked on for multi log in.

its verry anoying to see this happen even because it doesnt happen every time^^
are there a fix for i can do or is the password question for at least one account a new security feature who dont work 100% correct?

Seriously, are those devs adding stuff to the launcher really that bored they need to add the same thing twice?

Big white cross - Remove/Unlink this account from account list (been there a pretty long time)

Big blue pin - Pin/Unpin (Remember/Forget) this account (new addition that just duplicates the X)

I don't know who does QC for the launcher but they need to be replaced (or at least, slapped up the side of the head and banned from the CCP Bar during work hours).

Who signs off on a change that duplicates something that already exists?

It really is getting harder and harder to justify $23 a month for each sub.

I am trying to update to the new launcher on a windows 7 laptop but nothing is happening... literally nothing. I have downloaded the new launcher exe file from the link in the old launcher. This points me to EveLauncher-1045952.exe. I have downloaded and attempted to run the installer however when I double click it nothing happens. I get a pop-up asking for permission to run the program, I say yes, and then... nothing. No process in the process explorer, no spinning wheel to show anything is happening in the background, just the desktop. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this fixed and get back into the game?

I have launcher version 1045952.1018

It forgot all my accounts and it won't save any passwords. I can't see an option for "remember this account."

Are we not saving accounts for fast launching anymore, because that's how it's acting.

It forgets my accounts every time I close it, actually.

oh, holy **** I have to click the pin button for every account for it to remember them? Why would I not want the launcher to remember my accounts unless I was account sharing and logging in to someone else's?

edit: nevermind, pinning accounts doesn't fix the issue either.

This is what I see. No "remember this account" checkbox, and I have to re-enter the password every time. When I enter the password, only that account shows up in the accounts list.

Launcher 1057794.1018 on a Mac, has started forgetting my accounts each time I start it. Not associated with crashes, but seemingly at random. The little blue pin thing doesn't alter it. It is a real pain having to re-enter all that info over and over again ... and again ... and again.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Because Devs believe duplicating actions the launcher carries out is something - to be proud of on their part and that we should all embrace.

It wasn't enough to have "save password - insecure" along with the X to remove/unlink an account. Now you save your login the same way but now have the added (and somewhat unnecessary) Pin account and a slider added for auto login (which of course only works some of the time).

What *was* a nice clean easy to use interface is now a jumbled over crowded mess of clicks and slides - To achieve exactly the same thing as before the extra nobs and buttons were added.

Bored Devs are bad for players wishing for simplicity and ease of access.

It's easy to forget there are other users who have preferences that seem odd. We've asked CCP to accommodate us for audio options, and now half the audio tab in the ESC menu is dedicated to audio sliders. The launcher has the very same type of granularity we've asked for, we just find ourselves in the group of players who didn't ask for this particular example.
