Next trillions from plex will fuel next war.
Last time plex lost almost 500mil of value.

What is it about? Tried to read linked thread but there is only screenshot with something and lots of fluff in comments.

Another war is funded by casino? And why PLEX should be hurt?

Well... I haven't noticed PLEXes for 700 million (if we take 500 mil from 1.2billion where PLEX was at some point in time) for last year. It's price is actually pretty stable above 900mil lately.

So yeah, why PLEX should 'drop 500mil' because of this funding? If anything PLEX could raise a little if funded people will stop paying RL for subscription and pay with PLEXes from funding.

no plex dropped the last time this war was funded, plex were selling for iirc 1.2+ bil, now settle at 900mil, wether that was because injectors or the war, i dont know, reddit will just turn into the same circle jerk as before

Even if TEST deployment in Delve is real, that trillion is already in game, in right hands. No one need to sell/buy a single PLEX to move it. Since it would be casino money, it will not affect eve economy other than by raising prices for ORE and other stuff, needed to build all those cap ships. And I seriosly doubt, that impact on raw stoff prices will be really noteable.

PLEX fall down from 1,2B to 800 M because of citadels and skill injectors, not because of world war bee.

People with a lot of in-game wealth often store that wealth in PLEX as a hedge against inflation rather than simply leave ISK sitting in their wallet. Both sides needed a lot of ISK to finance the war and a lot of that ISK was raised by selling PLEX on the in-game market. At the same time we had Citadels and a lot of PLEX were sold to raise cash to build them. The increase in supply relative to demand is what pushed the price down.

One trillion ISK isn't enough to seriously swing the PLEX market.

Now if something different happened that destroyed tens of trillions of ISK - perhaps some new blueprints - that might have a bigger effect. But one trillion getting into circulation will have a very minor inflationary effect, nothing more.

This might add 3-5m to PLEX prices, at most.

As in real life, war cause the price of "secure" assets to drop. Look at the price of gold before 1939 and after the start of WWII. People want money at times of war so they sell their assets. Even those not involved will see the price dropping and then add to the selling frenzy.

I can easily imagine 2 more relevant factors that right now could affect PLEX prices more than that.

I can certainly think of a big one, although its effect has not yet even started to ripple through the economy.
