Just finished watching this:

If anyone you know is thinking of trying out Eve, this intro come review would be good for them to watch first.

Well it would have to be...to even begin to properly review a complex game like EVE...

Haven't watched it yet - will check it out later.

The dead swans lay in the stagnant pool. They lay. They rotted. They turned Around occasionally. Bits of flesh dropped off them from Time to time. And sank into the pool's mire. They also smelt a great deal.

I've tried to watch this twice.
I don't have 30 minutes to give to a game review.
The guy's voice grates badly, nyer nyer nyerrr...nyer nyer nyerrr, robbing me of the will to live.
So if it's good i'll have to take your word for it, made it this time to just past mining into ganking.

Goggles. Making me look good. Making you look good.

Yup, that one is a real winner. Not entirely convinced that it was an actual review. I had to watch it several times in order to translate the "urban lexicon" into my native tongue (English). The video quips ( not clips ) combined with the dialogue were probably the most telling of all. It was just another "Is Eve dyeing (sic)" lament, nothing more. To be fair, I did like the reference to Dust 514 and the comment "You can't out rice the Chinese", thought that was... humorousShocked
The part time player ( by his own admission ), obviously enjoys the W space aspect of the game and provided some legitimate reasoning and sound arguments why other aspects of the game might be enhanced if they were to follow the W space example.
While the video is certainly representative of a player opinion on Eve as a whole. I would not recommend it as source for new players contemplating whether to sub or not.
A good review should make an attempt to be as unbiased and factual as possible. I know... these days that is hard to come by. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just not their own facts.
I would recommend watching this if you would like a little "tongue and cheek" humor with your Ivy league berry frappe in the morning. Wait! Did I just "review" an "Eve Online Review". No, Just my thoughts upon viewing it.

I had to use one of those audio overlay program thingies. My personal favorite is the Darth Vader sucking helium voice-over. Was hilariousLol

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never. Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

There's a lot to review.

Game reviews are usually focused on a games with one or two central things to do. EVE isn't one of those.

A digital autopsy perhaps?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

That's a serious problem with many, many internet things posted about EVE. "Big News: COKEdash lost a Rag at the ROIR-Y gate to in PB to multiple dns fielded by FANTA. Squirmulous, lead diplo of LAX., denied the rumors that it was considering leaving FS.**"

Abbreviations jargon is hip I guess, if you only want hip insiders to be able to decipher the cryptic code and understand your news story. To everybody else, it looks like the writer just wasn't aware (smart) enough to not assume that not everybody knows the abbreviations jargon that he knows. In other words, it's like talking on and of to someone, as if they are already supposed to know all about the topic that is already in your mind. Ever been a listener in that situation before? I'd bet you have, at work or at home.

An easy fix: At the start of the article, lead with something like "Foolish AFKer Not Take Alcohol alliance (FANTA) fielded multiple dreadnoughts...." After that, you can just use FANTA and dns and the average EVE-ish reader will get it.
