The Villore Accords conducted an expedition to the Drifter Redoubt system of J174618. While many other organizations have already submitted very good reports about this system, we attempted to use new tactics to engage the Drifters, and found some success. Our report is available here for your review. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Good to see others taking their interest in these complexes. I take it your party didn't make it to the Hive?

Correct, unfortunately we did not have time. The ongoing war between the Caldari and Gallente keep us quite busy. But we'll return soon again, no doubt.

Reviewing the link, Jaret, it looks like he zipped through the Nexus Transfer Gate in the split zone to look at the Nexus, and then engaged a lone Drifter at an anomaly later on.

That said, speaking generally, the signature-minimizing approach is fairly effective, and was one of the first really reliable methods for engaging Drifter influxes, until they adapted. It's still fairly effective against lone Drifters, but suffers when you engage multiple.

Interestingly, the afterburner/web method has been the ARC standard for several months now, though we don't push signature to its absolute minimum to preserve some amount of resilience against lucky hits or multiple Drifters. I believe Alizabeth is preparing a report on Saturday's operation, which achieved a full hive penetration with no casualties at all, using a minor variant of our usual Caracal-based doctrine.
