Much like my thread about Networked Sensor Arrays I am here to propose another change in EVE that will benefit everyone.

Decreasing Capital Ship Component parts down to 1.5 - 2k m3 each from 4k each.

Reason: To help stimulate the Capital ship market even more while also giving newer industrial players the opportunity to profit from helping with the production in cap ships without building everything.

As of right now in EVE there really isn't much incentive in building only capital parts as they are too heavy, sell very slow as most builders build their own parts and they must be moved to low sec which their aren't many ships that can move enough into low sec safely to make decent profit.

Furthermore with the new changes in EVE making Capital ships even more of a valued asset this change will provide a greater supply thus promoting more active usage.

Positives: Players will be able to build capitals by transporting ALL parts with greater ease but also at a greater risk.

Production of Capital ships will increase thus increasing destruction and module need completely stimulating not only
the mineral market but also the Cap module market.

Capital Parts will become a viable option for players who can't build the ships or don't want to leave hi sec.

Maybe try posting your ideas in the proper subforum.

mmmm i think that building a capital ship should require a lot of effort Shocked
logistic problems, materials problems, and research/skills requires to build one should be proportional to their "power/utility".

making one person alone not able to build one without a lot of effort and time spent in logistic/hauling could seems good to me.
if possible i'd make it even harder to build one.

this would stimulate not only the cooperation between players (they have to group up in indy corps to build this ships) but also the perspective of fielding a capital ship: i.e. right now "full damage/kamikaze dread" are pretty common, they don't cost a lot (kinda cheap) and their cost/dps makes their use affordable in large quantity.

i'd opt towards a "corp gameplay" respect to a "one man army with 200 alts"
TL;DL - better make it more difficult

for this part code is already doing a very good job.
not a day without 5-6 freighter down. eventually you can always put up another group like them and gank capitals Pirate

Coming from experience (built over 1000 caps)... this idea is for industry players who would like to get into production relating to capital ships. Especially newer players especially since right now there is 0 incentive for newer players to contribute with most of them learning the hard way as it is not viable to build cap parts and move them to jita or any trade hub for that matter. You speak of cooperation but I dont think you understand the cap ship industry

i don't think you started building capitals right away:
you waited to be able to fly a freighter to haul component parts etc something like this lines, right?

eve is patience, eve teach patience. for all the others there are --> Skill injectors Roll

EVE is about patience and building up correct?

As it stands currently cap industry is something you must dive into without growing

Why not allow a player the chance to start off with parts being sold little by little until finally being able to build his own cap ship?

It works this way with all other aspects in eve aside from Tech moon

what's the problem right now? hauling?
there are hauling contracts

they can build and let someone haul for them, and sell afterwards.
and specifically a blockaderunner can haul some parts without problem.

If you don't understand the issue with cap industry why comment? I feel even if I take the time to explain it to you and how it is completely against newer players I believe you still would find a reason to go back and forth. Anyways, this was posted in the wrong section anyway. o/

Capital construction is not exactly a new player thing.
