POS in Low Sec: What Is Safe?

I want to run a POS in LS in order to use a Thukker Component Assembly Array.

The Assembly Array and a corporate hangar array is all I really need. Would this be targeted in LS or is it a small enough target for people to overlook?

If it is targeted, how many guns do I need to deter?

Depends which system it's in. Where are you setting it up (be specific please, as the star's type affects the defences required)?

It's as secure as any POS is. Make sure the moon isn't being used for anything and has no harvestable resources and it might never get touched. Then again, someone might get bored and take pot shots at it on your first day just to see if it generates a fight and/or a kill mail.

Pick a quiet system and keep your fingers crossed.

As for the number of guns, how secure do you want to feel? Keep anchoring guns, points, neuts, and/or ECM until you feel safe or run out of fitting space.

Can't pass the specifics because I haven't picked a system yet.

I'm going to try to go far small, out of the way.

Alright so let's say I have a medium POS with 1 thukker and 1 corporate hangar array.

What else should I fit on the POS to boost defenses?

A titan or a super capital like a nyx or ragnarok, just keeping it unmanned in the force field is enough to scare off those pesky pirates

ya gonna lose a small PoS in LS, they are easily bull dozed and with a thukker array its a huge target because we know your making capitals in it.

Also wont be hard to track you now we know whom your main is thanks for the info!!! :)

Any POS is a target for bored people.

Best defense is a large pos with hardeners. They would have to really want to spend time and/or commit capitals to taking it down, which is rare except against strategic goals.

You need large Dickstar with neuts at the poles and some guns med/small.
Large minmatar or amarr; 9 hardeners in 3-3-2-1 conf; 2 neuts, shload of ecm and some guns.

set up a large dickstar in an empty C1 WH with a LS static. no one will ever touch it. much, much safer than actually setting it up in low
