Identifying K162 Wormholes

I made a video about how to identify wormholes visually and I think it turned out pretty well.

I thought I'd share here for anyone that has somehow not learned this skill and wanted to.
Any feedback welcome!

i agree fully , video is good and my wormhole color favourite is those who go to kor-azor and domai region also aridia hardest to identify are gallente wormholes which can lead to placid solitude essence etc. identyfication by wormhole color tbh isnt that bad perhaps there is one gallente kind wormhole that you can by accident take as kor-azor one only it make suspicious is so much green streaks in it

A good follow up video would be identifying all the Kspace regions including nullsec Smile

I will consider trying to do that... But man, it would take a while to put that together. It would probably take several days of dedicated diving just to get the raw video for that... And a lot of KSpace regions look *very* similar.

If you need some help getting footage of wormholes, let me know. You could do like a "this is drone lands space" and label/show holes from malpais, Perrigan falls, etc. Then next couple of slides talk about the northern holes and what to look for. You're not wrong in saying the holes are similar to each other but the regions next to each other are the ones with similarities. High sec regions are also easy to identify along with low sec, so that could be a place to start.

Aside from actually making it happen... Why would this be useful to you (or others)?

Classing a k162 for WNGSP is important for... 2ish reasons. We don't need to splash everything to have a rough idea what's on the other side, and many members can't modify bookmarks so being able to confidently mark a WH accurately is valuable before heading through. I can only assume this is useful to other corps, too.

In what scenario is splashing a HS to find out exactly where it goes not worth the time, though?
Similarly -- we have a lot of members that are resistant to learning even how to class a WH, I can't imagine most would be willing to learn to ID the 30 or so regions of KSpace...

you know, if you just through the WH, it will tell you exactly where in kspace it goes ;)
IDing wh destinations base on visuals is useful for bookmarking reasons, that's about it. not really needed for kspace since it tells you where it goes anyway *shrug*

I can classify usually all the highsec and lowsec regions and get an estimate of where the nullsec leads based on the the color of the wormhole. Although there may not be an immediate benefit like with identifying k162 wspace connections, I've had it where my Corp was looking for a specific Kspace connection. Let's say you need a Minmatar lowsec and see you have a placid lowsec connection you just scanned. I'm going to keep scanning the wormhole out (and not waste my time jumping it now) because I know they're not near.

I know it's a very niche skill to acquire. It was simply an idea for another vid if you had interest.
