Ok so.... we have the new player owned stations.... yadda yadda...

Lets not make them suck. :)

Proposed ideas:

1. Give ability to change orientation.
selfexplanatory

2. Make them more POSsy
No new citadels.
Make station upgrades destructible station services that you anchor on the citadel.... Adding stuff to slots makes it seen from outside. Like the current outposts.
Killing stuff drops loot that was in them. (Can you imagine cloning facility droping all corpses of people that currently have a jump clone Pirate)
Expand to reactions.
Expand to wherever you want.
Dont do wierd limits. Its a micro station. You have CPU and Power-grid. Just try everything to that. Maybe i want to change stuff on occasion... Make it as POS like as possible....

3. Make them more mothershipy
Its rely simple. You put a cyno gen on it. You poke a beacon. It lands there (time money... whatever.... does not matter make some realy obscure way of doing it.... but a simple beacon + time + fuel is enough.)
If a titan can jump why cant a small station have a jump drive. Nothing in game technology wise prevents it

Fix the stuff that you have currently and make it work and expand on the stuff that work.... and no matter what you do.... python and anaconda mines will always be there to remind you you have serious issues in the development team.... that for some reason is paying some other MMO then EvE onlne...

#1 Sure, that should be a thing, if it's actually workable in the code.

#2
a. I don't think any more Citadels will be released, but there will probably be other structures to come along.
b. I like this idea, but that's something for the future. Let's get them mechanically right first.
C. No. Otherwise there's no incentive to use them over an NPC station.
d. Eventually (reactions)... or maybe one of these other structures will have them. Personally, I'd rather have as much in a Citadel as possible.

#3
I'm assuming you mean to open a portal, not actually making a jump...
If so, then meh, why not.
However, while I don't mind the idea of changing the Citadel's orientation after anchoring, actually moving the Citadel from it's anchor point should require take taking it down.

Logic wise (ingame lore and all that how stuff should work not how it works) there is basically no way to remove a citadel after construction... so unancoring the citadel by itself.

Later it struck what i actualy wrote... but seriously ill come up with an idea on how to shoot something on a citadel that ejects 500 corpses Blink
This idea alone is worth CCPs time to read this topic.

Also i actualy read the stuff writen in the lower left corner
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNWZu6RTaCU

new "citadels"
call them whatever you want... dockable space garbage....

and about he jumping im actualy proposing to make Citadels jumpable.....
Fortizar has a mass of 10 (add 9 zeros)
Avatar has 2,4 (add 9 zeros)

Dont see why they wouldent make it it mothershipy....
There used to be like 50 or so topics on what how and where and what the REAL mothership should be (back when supercarriers were actually called motherships... ) There was like 50 000 ideas and none were implemented cause the main block of it all .... how it should be perceived in space and how to build it was missing....

Citadels are a good platform for whatever idea no matter how insane comes up or is recycled cause they solved the platform problem.... It cant move.. it has a way of beimg built and killed. Nothing OP.... except that one in WH ;)

Lots of ideas can be implemented main question is will it catch somebody eye... Just repeting stuff that has been said 5 years ago is pointless.... Im sure they have a complete archive.

Also the moment CCP admits they might have goofed and that there are to much player stations flying around.... im gonna 3D print them a replica of a Python mine and send it to Island.

Actually the ability to jump would make the Medium useful...

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

They are very deliberately not POS'y with 200 items in space, but a single structure. I don't see that changing at all.

by POSsy i meant modular (the logic).... Not round and pointy and with stuffs in space.

Small towers perhaps should be maintained in the game as small forward operating bases that you can do some hit&run stuff from.

What exactly do you think fittings are....
And station services.

They are modular.
