Can we PLEASE get it so you can buy, sell and reprocess from inside station containers? Does CCP even play their own game?

I am so tired of having to move hundreds of items in and out of a container just to use them. There is no reason for this restrictiveness.

You know what else would be nice? Being able to put stuff in, or take stuff out of (secure?) containers in the hold of ships that are docked at citadels... The game seems to think they're out in space and out of range.

Until all are free...

Or contract only a single or a few items that are in containers without having to contract the entire container itself.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Why do you even ask? You know the answer Big smile

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Oh, there's a reason, I'm sure. Database something something. Or no time to change it something something. CCP can simply post the reason and then you'll be happy, right?

I was just thinking that yesterday. If the manufacturing panel could be directed to a specific type and specified container for the blueprint, and the raw materials, I could use my inventory hangar instead of be horrified by it.

They probably make more money catering to the two-dimensional, witless needs of gankers, and don't have time to think of this level of organization. Busy busy bees!

If we get chased by zombies, I'm tripping you.

Can't you already do exactly this, at least in corporate building? IIRC (not on Eve computer) you choose blueprint selector, facility and then either hangar or can in hangar before selecting the individual blueprint. Then you choose the materials input hangar and product output hangar. I haven't tried materials input from a can but only because I haven't moved a can big enough to my POS.

Quite probable. There are wallet changes I would really really like CCP to implement that would make project management a lot easier.

That said, I fully support the OP's post.

Yeah you can point it to a container in your hangar for bpo/bpcs and materials. But... ALL your materials need to be in the same can, you cant have some here and some there. Then you can also select your hangar floor as output. DO NOT select a can thats too small for your output. lol Been there done that. You have to petition that one to get it out.RollUgh

You can also repackage the container or move it to your ship. If the specified output container isn' t there the stuff defaults to your hangar IIRC.

I mean... if it is a good reason. At this point it seems downright lazy.

If they could make us pay for it somehow it would be in the game tomorrow.

Agree with the OP.

Also need ability to repackage items in the Containers instead of having to remove them, repackage, then replace them back into the Container. Talk about unnecessary actions. And what ever happened to being able to resize the Industry window ?

You can reprocess stuff from inside a station container-or a ship's cargo bay.
You can't set where your market purchases will go automatically, so if a buy order with that last component you need goes through... you're coming back to move the materials.
You can't use clothes without taking them out of the container.
And you can't sell stuff that's inside a container.

If you set an industrial output for a too-small container, you can repackage the container and the game will deliver the output of the job to your hangar. Then you get to put all the stuff back in the box.

Thanks for this tip :) Now I don't have to submit a support ticket when I **** up like this again.

Yes please. I use different containers for different blueprins, different materials, different copies of blueprints, ....
Searching for THAT blueprint you want to use NOW can be frustrating if you have a certain amount of them.
So YES please: using items for industry no matter to which container they belong would be gorgeous!

Absolutely this should be improved.

As mentioned the inability to repackage items that are in containers is a major PITA.

It's not a terrible idea, it's just in the wrong part of the forums.

Features and Ideas is where this belongs.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
