Try setting an environment variable called QT_OPENGL to one of the following values:
desktop
angle
software

See http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000549.htm if you are unsure of how set environment variables.

This environment variable controls how Qt, the framework used by the launcher, renders it's UI. It seems that on some systems the default values result in drawing problems, and this may be a workaround until we figure out the issue.

This is a great game, I love playing it.

I am not a computer professional, nor am I a programmer.

Average users have no business messing with the core software on computers.

What will your suggestion do to other programs? Will I still be able to use my computer for other products that work fine now?

A very lazy suggestion, just fix the game so it works.

I have played a lot of online games and none have been as difficult to actually get to run when something goes wrong.

I spent the last 48 hours trying to get the game to work properly. It is all trial and error and not fun, if you have forgotten, fun is why we play games. It sometimes launchers and works, without doing anything other than just relaunching it. Your launcher is unstable.

When I open the launcher sometimes I get white screen with message "checking GUI".
When I open the launcher sometimes nothing happens at all.
When I open the launcher sometimes the button to play is by the account and sometimes below.
When I open the launcher sometimes it is a little white box at a random place on my screen
When I open the launcher sometimes it works just fine.

When I get into the game, sometimes I am greeted by a black screen.
When I get into the game, sometimes I undock and the camera is stuck and I have to redock.
When I get into the game, sometimes I undock and when I dock back up I get a black screen.
When I get into the game everything works fine until I jump a gate, then I get game terminated critical error.
When I get into the game sometimes the overview distances do not change no matter where I am.
When I get into the game sometimes my ship doesn't appear and I can't fit it.
When I get into the game sometimes I run into rats that are not on my overview because you have to add them to the overview,, but no one tells you that.

Just some examples of the problems. It can't be completely my fault.

I thought my computer was going bad. I used a different one, but still the same problems. I purchased a new computer that is arriving today for more money than I wanted to spend and will do an install of your game on a brand new windows 10 super computer and see if it works perfectly. If it doesn;t then I know it is all about CCP and not me.

Please get the game fixed. I love playing it.

Don't you want to attract new users? The game itself is very complicated and has a steep learning curve, and for me took several months to get the hang of it. Most people want instant gratification, so maybe some more intro level activities would be good for business.

If you finally get a new player to play the game I don't believe they will persevere through non game related difficulties like I mentioned above, it's just too much trouble.
