I need to hire somebody to maintain market orders. Is there a way for me to make sure that they do not steal funds, while allowing them to modify corporation orders?

wow thank you fellas. Turns out, the trader role grants access to modifying corp orders, and not to funds.

There are honest people in EVE. But as Nana said, the best would be to find someone who has more to lose by betraying you than what he/she would win. I would never steal or cheat anyone, but i don't think i would have fun doing this job, sorry P

There's also no method to ensure that you'll continue to pay a fair salary + commissions for this JOB.

And as indicated already, people who want to ruin your corp, can. Even those who don't want to ruin your corp may do so, out of ignorance of the market or the game mechanics.

It comes down to trust. The game has no built-in method to guarantee trust.

Why would an EvE player want to spend their game time on your market orders when they could make much more isk for themselves with the same effort? This isn't RL where desperation and poverty can be exploited to get people to do jobs you don't want to do, sorry.
