but I'm afraid I wont be able to do that as long as VMG is holding me down.

now thats just an excuse
once i and the other fresh blood had settled into devils and started to shake off the hebejebies
raz and tears went and called a "purgatory month" and our green asses were expected to carry on hunting contracted targets
with marmite, forsaken and a couple of the other big boys breathing down our necks

for a month.

they do this every time we get enough new blood to warrant it

the ones that survive it active ,online and still in alliance were all the better for it.

tora kicked the bulk of his members to the kerb a while back and was promptly besieged for months by the disenfranchised ex members, still operated , still here.

HTFU and just stop with this "woe is me" act,
most of us have volunteered for worse than you managed to talk your way into and managed to get on with the work just fine.

You just need to get a few well coordinated kills against other mercs under your belt. It doesn't matter if it takes days or weeks of planning and execution.

Consider who you're up against, monitor them and keep your scouts clean. Watch and learn from your enemy. Try them out with neutral suspects and see how far they're willing to move out of their comfort zone and what they're prepared to commit.

Don't hope to engage them whilst doing what you usually do. Anyone worth their salt will have already clocked your activity as per the above and will more than likely have a counter to hand.

It all takes time, but I have to agree with Ralph that being positive and focused is they key to your success. Sure you'll sustain losses, but what you'll learn from them will be a million times more relevant and useful that a thousand barge killmails.

Try not to be negative and focus on what you can do. When I first encountered Devils I was in Marmite and to be honest the vast majority of players around me were scared shitless of them. A few of us banded together and decided to forego all other targets for a few weeks and study them whilst working on a solution to the problem. It worked, on them and other mercs, but it took patience and time and a clear head and that really is the key.

I don't get on much any more, but I'm happy to offer any advice I can... provided I see you being a little more positive.

That was actually an inspiring post. Love it. Sounds like I would have had a lot of fun with you guys.

Ive explored so many facets of EVE that I've really just been trying to find my purpose in it all. What do I enjoy the most? What am I the best at? I've boiled it down to a bit of a niche with semi limited reach due to my corps size but we can still be prettty effective against smaller corps, meaning corps under 100 members.

In addition to morts post, grow a thicker skin,
calling people out as bads irl because they said mean things on the internet to an adversarial stranger ...
Cmon man, this is internet 101 stuff.

The reason that got the lads all exited is youre making the same sort of noises as the bears we so often prey on,
that would get any blood thursty savage all hot under the collar.

Lose the corp size limit. I've taken 5 dudes too brave newbies home and hunted them back when brave had 2000 dudes. I've killed more solo and duo goons than I can count. Corp size doesn't mean squat

If I understood you correctly, he was bahhhh'ing like a sheep. I love me some sheep huntin when nothin is goin on. Twisted

But real talk for Voynich, hunting the mercs is where you'll get your jollies off. I call it wolf hunting. Leave the sheep butchery to the Jita scrubs.

All of the advice given above is solid!
