" In YC 104 (two years ago), the first transneural burning scan interface was successfully installed in a capsule; technology that would, within six months of testing, allow for perfect clone transplantation upon pod breach in 99.7% of tested instances – a level of reliability far surpassing anything the cloning industry had ever achieved before."

So, my question is...is this .3% failure possibility actually implemented in game? IS there a slim slim slim chance that any one of us could wake up dead after the loss of our Pod?

Perhaps, if it is not there...then in line with cannon...it should be added.

Thoughts? Twisted

Ive never known anyone to not be able to get into a med clone. Nor should it be put in the game. It would discourage pvp as people would be afraid the RNG would hit their character and they would lose everything. People would be outraged at the money and time they spent to get their character to a certain point only to have RNG decide to eliminate their character from the game.

Lol...imagine the addition of the risk though? you get away in your pod....your pod is targeted... .3% chance that you are done and dusted. The odds are slim...but none the less... Twisted

This most likely refers to SP loss due to outdated clones.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

No! lol..not at all, the risk is shared. This is a NEW character, but i'm not THAT new to Eve...and i'm not seriously suggesting this should be added, just thought it'd make a good light hearted convo. Blink

the risk isnt shared because nullsec have bubbles to prevent your pod from warping, everywhere else pods can be saved, you dont get that luxury in nullsec so this would hurt them the most

the .3% risk is still shared for everyone who gets podded, it would not necessarily be any greater simply because warp was prevented...upon destruction the transfer still has the same high chance of being successful. Roll

well yes it would because every fight will reduce your chance to warp pod out in null to 0% thus maybe a 3% chance to die but 100% pod point everytime you undock against having the chance in low/highsec to get the pod out, thats bad for the game and bad for null conflict, there is a reason nullsec players dont fly with high grade implants and this would be another reason to not engage in null.

We should perhaps get this integrated too..

"And if the snapshot is taken too late there is the risk
that the scan will fail or even that the revived clone will remember its own death, a
very traumatic experience that can introduce severe psychological and functional
problems in the clone"

So..you get podded..you get downloaded...but now your crazy like a fox! Twisted

can we integrate whatever you're smoking into the game?

I've always assumed the .3% was the result of being hit with the perma-ban hammer.

Given some of the stuff I have seen and read about, the chance of the hammer is greater than .3% What?

Historically compared to other games - permaban is something that you really have to earn in eve. You always have the right to complain, but this game allows: scamming, extortion, blackmail, outright theft, stomping on someone much smaller and taking all their stuff and so on (you can also laugh in local at the person while you do it to him). Your window for complaint is pretty small.

Would have been 313 capsules this month (out of 10,430). I wonder what these people would say if they find themselves confronted yet again with a painful SP loss.

Seeing as how your'e number crunching (good skills by the way) How many space-cabbages would there be by now if we also implemented the second idea? Twisted

Could the .3% chance refer to an unsuccessful sourcing of a successful transfer?

Three times in a thousand your med clone gets lost in the transneural shuffle and your consciousness gets transferred to someone else's med clone.
