You're actually a little too sensitive when it comes to this part. Maybe you should just leave this part to your superiors.

And you are a little too dishonorable lying coward, Jason. I know my job and you have no basis to tell me if I am doing it good or right.

All enemies of the State WILL DIE.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

I found footage of a Caldari unisex shower area.

I was going to introduce it to my Brutix. Not as efficient as I was lead to believe. Any Caldari care to explain??

Unisex showers have a slightly different dynamic in Gallente culture. Namely that they are not used exclusively for bathing....

See? Now THIS is the type of marketing that helps recruit people for Naval service. If I was a joiner, this would get my attention.

Yes, we tend to use the unisex showers for torturing spies. We wouldn't want to offend them by assuming their gender... Roll

Unisex shower torture, eh? Exotic! You Gallenteans really know how to party! Cool

What if no other facilities are offered on board!?

I think I would use them under sufferance, in the name of hygiene.

Unisex showers are everywhere in everything remotely military or is strapped for cash and resources. Why is this surprising news?

Please enlighten me as to why a capsuleer worth billions of ISK (or more) would ever find themselves in a situation where this would be the case, without having deliberately placed themselves there.

I have my own living quarters installed in a number of places, including several of my larger ships, on top of an actual planetside home. Why would I ever subject myself to facilities shared with complete strangers?

I take it you have never taken a leisurely walk in public venues and then find yourself having a sudden urge to excrete.

If I have to relieve myself, I don't do it in a shower. Maybe you do, but I sit down and use a thing specially designed for the task. It's called a toilet.

And "public" toilets typically are situated inside stalls for privacy, or are their own self-contained, single-person facilities.

Unlike the showers being discussed.

Unfortunately, if you had a dangling bit you will be pissing beside some other dude with a barely adequate (and occasionally completely inadequate or absent) partition in between.

Also, crapping in the shower is an invitation for being beaten the heck up so nobody does that. Doesn't mean that we will always find ourselves the much-needed privacy. Heck, our clones are stark naked all the time before activation or decantation.

Not to mention there will always be the possibility (or the reality) of living with someone who is trying to make 'intruding upon someone's own privacy' a habit.

You see, that is generally a situation that both parties have gotten themselves into by consent.

Not to mention that if invasions of privacy occur in such a situation, then the offending party isn't going to be having the opportunity to continue doing so for much longer in most cases.

The scenario is:

You are cruising in your 'gin palace' when all of a sudden you hit a unmapped feature. Your ship is ripped apart but you are lucky to be rescued by a passing Caldari Marauder.

The Caldari's are on a long patrol mission and can't just drop you off at one of you many digs.

Shower - or not to shower?

Or the other party is a dastardy scamp who knows how to hack the electronic locks.

Unfortunate for that individual, I am used to having someone walking in on me considering my upbringing and experiences with shared bathrooms (with twenty or more other persons) and faulty locks. Not to mention I had grown accustomed to five-minute showers and made that into a habit.

You are out clubbing in Tama. The Caldari's are not meeting their fleet recruiting targets.

A Caldari recruiter slips a shilling in your glass, next moment you wake up on a rusty Battleship.

I don't think she clubs. Clubbing is for plebians.
