It is not really an "asset" - but would it be possible without too much effort to include faction standings, so one can have a tracker-like display of how faction standings changed over time?

(Only factions, since corp and agent standings hardly ever decrease.)

I'm going to say no. The reason being that I got a million features directly related to assets waiting to be coded (The backlog is enormous). If I extend the scoop of jEveAssets to include more things the backlog is only going to get bigger and jEveAssets will end up being bloatware. So, the scoop for jEveAssets is everything that related to assets and nothing else. Granted, a few other things have been included throughout the years, but, I still think the focus on asset shines through.

Thank you very much for you feature suggestion. I'm sorry it falls outside the scoop of jEveAssets. I will suggest you contact some of the other 3rd party apps developers, to see if they're willing to include it in their tools :)

When I update transactions i get this error for certain characters and only one of my corp divisions.

That is a known bug. I'm very sorry for not releasing a bug fix in a timely manner, but, life is just a bit busy ATM.
I will try to release the bug fix as soon as possible.

I am completely brand new to this application so I apologize for my ignorance. I created my API key from the app and I have managed to import them but when I looked in the FAQ, I didn't see what I should do next to actually get my assets. I've been looking for an app like this forever and thankfully, one of my fellow EVE FB community buddies posted the link to the page so you'll probably get a lot more interest too. :)

1) In the menu select "Update" then click "Update..."
2) Select the APIs you want to update and click "OK".
3) Wait until the update finish and you're done.

jEveAssets does not update by itself. You have to do the above steps everytime you want to update from the API.
You can update approximately every 15min, but, some APIs have a longer wait time, like the Assets API you can only update once every 6 hours.

I will also suggest you explore the "Tools" menu, that hold a lot of useful tools, you may or may not need :)

Was just going to ask about the transaction bug. Thank you for the fix! Also was wondering if it is across all third party tools not just jeveassets because I use eve droid and the same thing happened where one out of the three characters on an account doesn't pull in transactions.

Yey!

Really great job with the wallet divs and how it remembers.

However i have two suggestions:


1) You can use the corporationSheet endpoint to get the names of the wallets/hangers so it could display those vs Wallet div 1..2..3 etc.

2) For the corporation hangers is it doable to have a list of hanger so i could just say click 'ammo' and it would select all of the 'ammo' hangers in every station, vs having to go thru the list and select each one.

When I try to launch jveassets I get a Java error "A JNI error has occurred, please check your installation and try again". Followed by "A Java Exception has occurred". This is all while the jEveAssets splash screen shows Loading Core in the background. Have removed and reinstalled Java and jeveassets multiple times. Has anyone seen this or have any thoughts?

The Transaction bug was triggered by the API not returning stationID or they changed it from an Integer to a Long (I'm not sure, as I was never able to reproduce the bug). jEveAssets handles both now. You may want to parse this information to the developer of eve droid. Bug reports FTW...

1) CorporationSheet: I can see how that would be useful, however, ATM. I think it's too much work with very little reward. Implementing a new API call is a major task, just to get wallet division names. But, feel free to continue pushing the issue until I agree to do it :)

2) I assume you're talking about the tracker tool. A filter to search the location list is definitely possible. I have added the issue to the backlog without an ETA.

Well, good job fixing it yourself.
You can always blame windows for the opening the zip files like it was a regular folder.
I agree zip files are not the optimal way to release software and not very user-friendly.

Some assets aren't listed in the Assets tool window. The value of those items appear to be reflected in the Tracker tool, but not in the Values tool. I can't tell you exactly what's missing, but in my case the most obvious ones are the most valuable... like a couple of Charon freighters in high-sec. I've looked in the #Default.xml file and I see them listed in wallettransactions and contractitems but not as assets.

Edit: actually nevermind about the Tracker tool, the value of the freighters is not reflected. My freighter characters historal Assets value dropped from 1.3B to basicaly zero between 2016-07-11 and 2016-07-13.

Are your freighters located in a citadel?

Recently updated and noticed that it now adds the "escrows to cover" to the trackers value of "total" meaning it no longer gives an accurate representation of your characters monetary worth when dealing with buyorders exceeding your wallets current level. Hope this makes sense. Ps. Love the tool and have used it for months but this recent change really hinders me and I would hate to have to find a new tool. Hope you can fix it quick or add in an option to disable what is added to the total.

As Careby said: Assets in citadels are not included in the API. CCP has been notified, but, so far, it has not been fixed.
If the missing assets are not in a citadel, please, email me and I will do my best to try and fix it ASAP. (My email is on the wiki)

The way the total is calculated was changed in 3.0.0. Now the total is: "Total of everything shown".
To exclude "escrows to cover" simply uncheck it from the list of shown lines/points.
That way the user can select what to include and what to exclude in the total.

If that does not work or you need more help, just reply here and I will try to answer and help ASAP.

Hey Golden-

First off, let me say that I love this tool. It's been great for a variety of initiatives our corp has been trying to accomplish.

One Issue I'm having that I wonder if the group has a comment on:

For my corp wallet journal, I'm noticing that I have a few cases where when I move money (from say Wallet Div 1 to 4), it only shows one side of the transaction. I have a few cases where it only shows the debit, and a few where it only shows the credit. This is a nightmare for cash flow calculations because it's fundamentally a zero-cash flow set of transactions that can skew one way or another.

That is indeed a terrible bug. Thank you very much for reporting it! :)
It was not very hard to fix, but, I can only fix it for journal entries still in the API (sadly).

I will use today to run some test myself.
Would you be willing to try a dev build to confirm the bug have been fixed?

I will release a bug fix as soon as you have confirmed the fix works as intended/when I have run my own tests (preferably both).

Nevermind with the dev build, the bug fix is working as it should. I will release a bug fix version very soon :)

Didn't have time to finish the release today. I will try to get it done tomorrow, but, no promises.
