Computer chrashes while playing eve? all settings get wiped.
socket close? all settings get wiped.
playing eve and having fun? all settings get wiped

Having to jiggle around chat channels, overview settings, graphical settings and hotkeys 2-3 times on a bad day is get old real fast. Please fix your garbage game.

And yes im using the launcher settings import function but that only seems to remember graphical settings for me.

Have similar issue, does your PC freeze before the crash, as i have same loss of settings apart from overview on total system freeze resulting in DSoD

nivida driver shows failure in event log, but i'm beginning to think its a Win 10 background services issue as the root cause

already dead, just haven´t fallen over yet....

whitenoise and freeze for 2 seconds then bluescreen. My googling seems to indicate its related to gpu yeah which makes sense since it usually happens when im doing big fleet stuff in eve or have multiple clients and games open.

Logged off yesterday, log back 5 min ago, every setting have been wiped...

hi guys, it took me a over week and 2 Muninns lost while frozen to finally get a solution if you use Win 10? i hope this helps. My issue was found out to be with an instance of "opencl.dll" but reading thru reams of technet articles and comments it sems also to effect things like notebook power, usb (mainly mouse) and sound capabilities.

Therefore i suggest opening an admin lvl powershell and running "sfc /scannow ", to check its not at the OS level, the log of the scan can be obtained using " findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt " (in ~Win\system32 directory) so if a issue is discovered you can find out what files are the underlying issue.

To fix the issue use "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth " but be aware that this may not fix the issue as it root cause is a corrupted install/update file that gets referenced for the repair, it took a second failure and ship loss for me to find this out, the same issue that had been repaired had reoccurred so its important to recheck using "sfc /scannow ".

I solved it by using my Day one release win dvd, installing just the latest physX and base graphic drivers and then using online update (defered mode). Microsoft are aware of the issue which started on the v1511 fast track release and it seems that the 1511 release issue effects only a very a few ppl who load it from their "MediiaCreationTool.exe" produced media, but there were ppl who used online update to v1511 that still had the issue.

hope it helps, but even if it doesn't you'll know your system files are in good health.
