Eve-spreadsheet is back! And with a new version, called 2.0 !

What is evespreadsheet ? What is the difference with others spreadsheets ?

Eve-spreadsheet is a tool designed to work like a trading spreadsheet but without the excel ui and the limitation of excel or googlespreadsheet.
You can search among all items using differents settings (price, profit, volume, location, characters).
You can also create favorites groups, this groups are refresh each 5min when open to give you data up to date (it's using crest, so you may not notice changed each 5min)

Prices for Jita, Amarr and Dodixie are automatically called by the server each 30 minutes. Price in other systems are cached 30minutes after an user request.
Volume are cached automatically by the server each day.



What's the big difference between the standard pack and the premium one ?

Premium user can have more characters and favorites groups. They have the ability to interact with price in the result and can set a daily profit based on the volume trade. They also have a filter in their favorites groups.



What happened ?

Eve-spreadsheet is developed with a framework called CakePHP. At first, it was based on CakePHP 2, but framework evolve quickly nowadays. A big update was made on this framework.
Eve-spreadsheet was the last of my site still running on the old version of this framework so i decided to upgrade it. But it was harder than expected (Yeah the code wasn't really good). I had to rewrite a huge part of the code to have something better, simpler and easier to maintain.

Now i coming back with a new version of the site and i will be able to add features faster

What changed ?

I made some change in the database itself. Your account are safe, but all api keys, characters and favorites have been deleted.
Favorites are not link anymore to character but to your account. So the restriction to create a favorite is now for the whole account instead of each characters


Design :

• The site adopt a design which is more flat than the old one
• I will add more theme with different color soon

Features :

• All previous features are still here, some work better so
• I don't use cookie anymore to store your search preference. Instead, you can save them on different profils to apply them to the form. I find it more flexible this way
• Each pages should be independent now. So if you open differents favorites on your browser, each one should pull its own data
• There is a new notification system to display informations i would like to broadcast or relative to your account

More :

• There is probably a lot of bugs i haven't find yet. You can submit them here, by mail, by using the contact form of the site or with the report form
• English isn't my native language so there is probably some weird mistakes everywhere. Feel free to report them so i can fix them

What next ?

Well first, fix all bugs of course.
Then add more features. Someone suggested to display more data and will probably work on that. If you have some idea you would like to discuss, i'll glad to have chat with you. For example, "daily profit based on the volume trade" was requested by one of the users

Since the in game browser is going away, your free trial should not require use of it.

This tool isn't design to work on the IGB, it's and old technology with a lot of limitation.

The error seem's to be solve, thanks to Reileen Kawahara for her help in the process. I have deployed some fix :

• User can not access search or favorite page without at least 1 character active
• The API key need at least Standings and CharacterSheet checked. This data are used to calcul the broker fee and the sale tax

2.0.2 is out
It's fixing the problem with volume. Volume will now be up to date.

What changed?
Usually i pulled all volume for all items in all regions each day. But its very stressful for the server. When the full pull occured, the server turn to be really slow and it's not something good.
Now, volume for each regions are stored on the server only if one of you is looking for it. It's then refresh each day. If it's not used for few days, the server delete it to prevent useless pull

I'm working now on a new feature to display an average data for buy price/sell price/volume/profit. This was requested by and user

I'll correct this misspell on the next patch.
Yes you can sort items. If you want to sort with the highest margin, click on profit price or profit(%) it will sort the list by profit. You can do the same for the name, buy price, sell price, volume. There will be an icon on the next patch.

2.0.3 is now deployed

No major change but some fix :
- Premium users can sort items by daily profit
- Add some icons so you can see how to sort and what
- Fix some misspells and design errors
- Improve the filter, so the page will no longer reload when you navigate through the items categories

I am still working on the new features but i am still at the beginning

edit : problem has been indentified. eve-marketdata seems dead again

edit 2 : problem have been partially solved. Look at the explanation below for more informations.

information : This site use an other third party tool to import volume data : eve-marketdata. It appear that the api provide by it isn't working anymore for now.
You can still use the tool with a minimum volume set to 0. I have set this data at 0 by default so even if you changed it with your search profils you won't have any problem. But it also mean you can't filter with volume for now and that's a bit problematic.
I hope eve-marketdata api will work again soon, if not, i will deploy an other script to pull volume by myself with crest.
