Premature downtime client crash

On several occasions, my client crashed with an error message saying the cluster was shutting down. While it was less than an hour from downtime, it shouldn't have occurred so soon. Yesterday, it happened at about 15 minutes to shutdown, and this time it was about 20 minutes until shutdown. In either case, it shouldn't have been disconnecting me so soon.

Yesterday, I was running only a single account at the time, but previously it happened simultaneously on two accounts. I'm wondering if there may be a Linux-related problem?

I filed a ticket yesterday and they informed me that it's difficult to predict node shutdown -- but on both occasions, I could log back in without issue, so I think something else might be up here.
