So it seems I can make a courier contract to ship from a citadel, but not to one. Is this going to be the intended mechanic or is it still a work in progress?

due to the fact you could easily restrict access to a citadel while a courier is in transit, I highly doubt we will ever see courier contracts be allowed to be delivered to a citadel.

They could just put a delay in place before changes to access take effect. Maybe 24 hrs.

nope its final mechanic, you can contract out of citadel but not into. because someone could make courier with huge collateral while you can carry literally notthing, then change access to citadel and you cant deliver the courier, he keeps the collateral and you have notthing.

You can do the same in any nullsec outpost.

I tried yesterday and it was possible, do you get some kind of error while creating the contract?

So yeah, contracts in Citadels are indeed still a work in progress (and include several at least minor bugs). I will post a dedicated forum thread as soon as we are getting closer to a final version.

Courier contracts to Citadels will be possible, but the exact details for the question of access loss are not fully decided yet (but we have a good idea for it) and the implementation for this is pending.
It is actually already possible to create a courier contract to a Citadel: Drag the link for a Citadel (from structure browser or asset window) into the destination field of the courier contract. Searching for Citadels will be available within the next few days (but I have not really tested it yet).

Thanks for the official update.

On a somewhat related note, I noticed on Sisi when searching for buy and sell contacts when in a citadel and the filter is set to current station, nothing shows up. It says that I'm not in a station. They do appear when I set the filter to solar system, constellation, region, etcetera.

Just a tiny update here, while we continue to work on this (still a whole bunch of tasks to be done):

It is now possible on Singularity to search for Citadels, both in the courier destination field and in the People and Places window. It will only return Citadels, where you have docking access. You can search for both the citadel name and the system name.

Will fixes to contracts in Citadels imply fixes to the API? Do the fixes that were required to introduce contracts in citadels have anything to do with fixes required to add citadels as a valid location in APIs?
